Thats a straightforward title if ever I saw one. The theme of this site is young straight guys playing with their sexuality. And, of course, that means playing with themselves, and sometimes each other. This site is relatively new so dont expect a huge amount of content here as yet but what there is is exclusive and there are links into other twink sites that you can view while you await more straight lads. There are some teething troubles with the site, but the general quality looks good.
The main content, when I visited at the end of September 2008, consisted of videos and pictures. The standard kind of main content for an adult site. What was good about this was the quality, what was poor was the sites design but Ill come to that later. First you will want to know about the actual boys and what they do.
Starting with the videos I found 14 in total. 12 of these were solos and two were couples in action. I streamed one in WMV, an embedded player that ran at 1.15Mb in a screen size of 768 x 576. This didnt start out at that size, in fact it was quite small, but at full screen it was perfectly watchable. The WMV file took quite a long time to buffer, the Flash versions are much quicker to start though I couldnt get them to go full screen and you may have to lean in close to see the details.
When you advertise a site as containing straight guys doing gay sex, or even just jerking off solo as most of the lads do here, I always feel there should be some way of knowing that the guys are actually straight. Apart from watching them fuck a girl, how do you achieve this? Interviews and chat before the show starts often help but you dont always get that here. On a couple of streams I couldnt actually hear what was being said as the sound was muffled, on another there was background hiss but I could hear the guy behind the camera mumbling something. I wasnt convinced that the guys were straight though; they could have been but equally they could have been gay. These were solo movies though so I tried one of the two action ones to see if I could learn anything more about the guys. The one I started to watch had two guys meeting up outside before moving to where the sex was going to happen. They spoke in Russian (or something similar) so I had no idea what they were talking about subtitles, as seen on other sites, would be a help. They did chat to the camera and, presumably if you speak the language, you will discover if they are really straight or not. If you dont speak it you will have to take the sites word for it that these guys are straight.
Anyway, on to the photos: each of these sets contain a varying amount of images, from 100 upwards and these are big and clear and good to view. Cute guys sure enough but still we dont know if they are straight or not. Does it mater? They are young, slim, sexy, hung and the images are collectable. You have a mix of guys here with dark haired lads, the occasional redhead, some with muscles, others slim and almost skinny and some shaved too your standard twink collection made better by the quality of the images. Of this collection of galleries four were couples/action and the rest were solos. The best thing about them is the cuteness of the twinks though; there really are some little beauties here.
That content wont take you long to get through and Id advise downloading the videos to watch later, there are no restrictions. There is more content to be had on the bonus sites. One of these, Britains Boys, must have been going through a maintenance overhaul as it was just pages of code. But Euro Twinkin and Globe Boys worked fine, as did Latino Smooth, even though the screen shot of this one was missing. These sites contain more twink action with some very young looking guys from around the world.
As for other things to do and see at Straight Wankers, the feed sites were down. There is a page of them but when you try one you get a message saying the feeds are disabled. There is no other explanation.
There are not many interactive elements here though you can rate each photo set and video and leave comments. Any comments made are instantly displayed. (There was not that many when I called in.) There is no add to favourites function but with a small amount of content like this you have everything on the one page already so not a problem yet. Similarly there is no information about the boys. This would be good to see, especially as were buying into a site thats selling from the straight angle even a set of stats with sexuality straight would go some way to helping us believe these boys are straight first timers.
Some of the design is what you might call in need of attention. Examples: some of the thumbnails that lead to content are pixilated or stretched, as if they have been up-sized beyond their capability. The links behind them work; it just doesnt look very good is all. And there are some images missing so you get X placeholders, I found some like this inside the galleries too.
But navigation is simple, with a top menu that remains in place so you can easily jump around. The galleries have a slideshow option and navigation links forward, back, back to gallery and back to main gallery page. There are good video viewing options too with three kinds of player available. Updates are listed with their dates and recently these have been regular. I checked the photos and found six added in September but then nothing between then and the previous January, when there had been six, and the other six videos were added in December of last year. Odd. The videos were added last January, then there was a gap until August when the others were added. I've no idea whats going on there! If in doubt, make use of the support page where you are invited to email the webmasters if you have a problem. My problem was finding an email address there wasnt one.
So you are left wondering what is going on with the site. On the one hand there are some great looking guys and some well made, good quality, movies and photos. But on the other you have basic design issues that need addressing, missing pics and email addresses and really irregular updates.
If someone would pay some attention to the stretched and pixilated thumbnails, get some subtitles on the videos so we can decided if these boys are really straight, sort out the regularity of updates, make sure the bonus sites work, address the non-working feeds and put in a contact emails address for members well, then Id think a bit more positively about the site. Theres no doubt that the boys are great and the whole thing has potential, but something's still not quite right.
