There have been some changes at Doghouse Digital since we last called in to review it. They continue to pump out a mixed bag of hardcore porn, from duos to threesomes to lesbian scenes, and they have maintained their high-quality filming and presentation. Updates continue to come in twice per month. There are over 1,500 scenes to view, but these days, it's streaming only, and downloading will cost you extra. Also, you now have access to three sites in the Mile High Network.
Doghouse Digital doesn't work in any one particular niche. It's a generic hardcore porn site with pornstars and newbies and offers a range of adult scenes. These can be reality in style, sometimes gonzo, but they are always good quality. You might say they are classic, porn studio-style scenes that fit into many niches. The banner states 'Something for everyone', and that's exactly what you have. A category list helps you filter the kind of porn you want to see.
Among the categories, you find Anal, DP, Milfs, Gangbang, BJ, Lesbian and Asian, so you certainly have plenty of variety. You also find that when you enter the site, you land at Mile High, the general collection of videos from all sites in your four-site network, and a look at the published upload dates shows you that something new is added around five times per week. Doghouse Digital updates twice per month, and you can find the DD movies in their own area via the Network link in the main menu drop-down.
This is where you see the continuing good quality productions DD are putting out. When I was there, they were running their DVD series 'Uncle Pervy' starring Tommy Gunn and Paige Owens, and Codey Steele and Rachel Rivers, among others. These were reality, taboo scenes. Beneath them was a selection of standalone duo scenes, some from the Casting POV series and some from Full Service Massage. You can find the full DVDs in the network-combined collection if you'd rather view a whole DVD rather than component scenes, and that link is also easily found from the main menu.
Clicking to a Doghouse Digital scene, you find that these days you only have the option to stream. Before, you could stream and download, but now, downloading will cost you an extra $14.99 per month on top of your membership. Streams come with an auto-detect function, so the site selects the best speed for your connection, or you can opt to change that to 1080p, 720p, 480p and 320p, and the screen goes to full-size with no loss of quality. Some movies in your wider collection may come in at 4K HD (3,840 x 2,160), and downloads, when you have paid, are offered in the same resolutions and in Mp4 format. Movies run for around 20 minutes.
With them come trailers and galleries, and photos are accessed from each scene's viewing page. With an average of 100 pics per set, you have a fair number of solo shots where the main model poses and then plenty taken from the hardcore sequences. They are presented in a functional online viewer, and you can take them one at a time at 1,200 x 800 px. To download the zip files, you will need to have signed up for the downloads add-on.
Now, head back to the Network link in your menu, and you will find you have three bonus sites to access. Previously, you had the compete Mile High Media network, but you've still got a fair amount of content here to play with. Included in your membership are Sweetheart Video for premium lesbian erotica, Sweet Sinner for erotic porn for women, men and couples, and then Reality Junkies for teens and Milf porn based on reality fantasies. The best way to find each collection is to click the initials beneath one of the sample shots, so RJ for Reality Junkies, or the 'view all' link. This then takes you to the full list of 3,013 movies, and when you add that to your 1,501 Doghouse Digital scenes, you can see that you've got plenty of content to justify your membership (4,514 scenes in total).
I have mentioned some of the ways you can find your content, and it's really not hard at all. The main menu has a drop-down to take you to the DVDs and then to their component scenes. The Network link takes you to the full set of four sites, and all links are clearly marked. Navigation is not an issue, and content can be filtered via a set of filters on the main viewing pages. A model index with 1,554 girls also helps you locate your porn based on who appears in it, and although the girls don't get a write-up or stats (or at least, not all of them), they do come with direct links to their movies.
Individual scenes are set out on pages where you also find trailers, BTS extras (sometimes), galleries, a brief description and other info. There are linked tag words here for easy filtering. You can rate the scenes and add them to a favourites area, and save them to watch later. I didn't see a comments facility.
As for the downloads extra, you can try hitting the 'download' links, but you'll only get to a place where you're invited to upgrade your membership. The standard, streaming-only price per month is currently at $17.99, which looks cheaper than taking the three-month options, which equates to $19.99 per month. (Note: the monthly offer recurs at the standard price of $29.99 after your first month at $17.99). The annual membership at $119.99 works out the cheapest. There is a two-day trial for $1.00, but that offers only limited access and comes back at $34.99 per month if not cancelled. Watch out for the pre-checked upgrade on your details page.
Doghouse Digital continues to put out well-made, high-quality and HD studio porn in a variety of niches and starring top porn stars. It no longer comes with full network access but offers three additional sites in the one membership. It no longer offers downloads unless you pay an extra monthly add-on, but it maintains its update schedule. Combined, the four sites offer over 4,500 original DVD movies on various themes, and overall, you have excellent value for money.
