It's great when you find a site that takes care with its design; a good design adds to the enjoyment and the fun of a site and that's what you get at Smoking Joe's Cafe. The site has a theme: sexy girls smoking, and it sets itself up in the style of a 1950s diner; a cafe with a menu. And inside the cafe you find exclusive videos and pictures which you can download, mobile streams for movies and weekly updates. The members' area is actually pretty simple but it works, and the site is expanding.
When I stopped by for a coffee and apple pie (not for a cigarette as I gave that up a while back now, though non-smokers are welcome here) I found 30 videos, 36 photos and 41 bonus videos. Not a huge content count and not a huge site, but then it is fairly new, as in only a couple of months old, and the tour pages do show us weekly upload dates with the advertised content. I didn't see dates inside the members' area but information is another issue which Ill come back to later on.
The videos that I did see though showed me some very sexy, and international, girls, each one smoking as she posed, stripped, sucked or banged. The content is pretty varied in that respect but it holds together the smoking theme with each girl having a naughty puff of a cigarette or cigar in each movie; sometimes there are two girls at once. Each movie is advertised as HD but there were not always HD choices. I found mobile versions to play with MP4 and Mov files, and also an online stream; sadly these didn't work for me and there was no way of finding out why. The message simply read: No video with supported file format This had been an issue on another couple of sites from this company and I don't think it was my software, it seemed to be that the files could not be found.
I was able to download some though but in these cases I found movies at 640 x 480 in size @ 847 kbps; not exactly HD, but not bad to view either. They expanded to full size without too much loss of quality and ran for 20 minutes or so. There was a lot of dirty action with the girls blowing guys and jerking them off with a cigarette on the go at the same time; kind of smoking while you get your facial sort of stuff. So the videos were on target in that respect.
Galleries were another matter. There was no way of viewing them online so you had to take the zip files. Images were big and clear and digital and very good quality, with lots of nice poses and some action shots to keep. But you do have to download the file first, unpack it and then browse on your own image browser, which is a very clumsy way of handing out images if you ask me. There is also an images area which holds 36 individual pictures. (The zip galleries come on the viewing pages for videos.)
The bonus content was also on theme and offered streams only, but these were also about girls smoking, and talking about their smoking in shorter clips. Some were dressed, some were naked. I am not sure where these movies came from, again there is a lack of information here. There is actually a lack of a lot of things and it would be good if the site could add in some of the things that you usually find on adult sites: info about the girls, where they are from, maybe a model index with stats and details. Info about the videos, when they were shot, and some more viewing choices would be great; get the streams fixed, put up the HD movies that the tour promises (perhaps the streams I couldn't run were the HD versions?), and definitely some news about upload dates. Add those and the site will immediately shoot up several more points.
Navigation is easy here. The nicely designed Menu, which is the home page and which actually looks a bit like a cafe menu, will take you off to the main videos, solo photos and bonuses, some up-sell sites and sample pics from other places you might like to join and the main feature of the members' area that makes Smoking Joe's Cafe different from the norm: the Direct your own video feature.
Basically you are invited to write down the outline for a smoking scene, you don't actually go over there and direct it in person. You select the format, the type of girl and then write down what you want to happen, send it in and if they can they will make it for you. That's a nice, interactive option for members.
Your only other interactivity comes from a rather limned comments box on the video viewing pages and the five star rating that you can give each movie. But I had no trouble with navigation here, there are links back to the menu all over the place and there were no technical problems either, apart from the rather major one of not having any streams to view, but that might have been a problem at my end.
Give it time and Smoking Joe's Cafe could blossom into a neat little smokers paradise. The girls are hot, the fetish of the smoke is all there and the quality of the exclusive movies is good. The site looks good could be so much more interactive with a lot more information made available. The Direct a Scene feature is neat and there is great potential here; I just felt that a few more of the standard additions would lift it up even higher. But so far, so good.
