Damsels in Peril has been updated since November of 2004. They currently offer a collection of around 325 videos and 335 photo sets. New additions are coming every three or four days, and the site alternates between video and image updates. Each update includes an average of 5 minutes of video footage or 100 pictures.
Damsels in Peril is a strictly fetish site and includes no sex at all. The scenes typically consist of just enough plot and dialogue to set the stage for bondage action. The babes get tied to chairs, ball gagged, blindfolded, spanked, and chloroformed. The evil henchmen and hench-women who come after them tied them up, and pick them up and carry them all over the place. They're sometimes taken to other locations to be tied in even more enticing positions. The models scream, fight, and struggle, all in the name of fantasy fun, of course. All or most of the models featured here are British, and those familiar with British stars may recognize some of them. Other models here appear to be amateurs and are not familiar to me.
While quality here overall is pretty nice, particularly when it comes to the newer releases, the oldest scenes here come at just 352 x 288 pixels, 2200 kbps. Although they don't look too bad at their normal very small size, you can't really enlarge them much without losing considerable quality. Luckily, a good portion of the collection comes at a much larger size of 960 x 540 pixels with bitrates of between 3000 and 5000 kbps. These looked crisp and clear and have excellent lighting and color balance, and they're excellent for full-screen viewing.
The tour pages for Damsels in Peril do an excellent job of previewing the kind of materials you'll see inside, and the design is pleasing. You can see preview images and read a bit of text for many of the available scenes.
When you log into the members area, you'll see the most recent photo and video materials displayed prominently near the top of the page. The main navigation makes it easy to get around to the various sections of the site including the photo and video materials, the model index, the members-only forum, and the contact info for the site's staff.
While the members' area is pretty basic, it does offer a basic keyword search box as well as the ability to rate the materials on a five-point scale. In terms of usability, perhaps the biggest downside here is the incredibly slow download speed. I had trouble with all of the sites of this network, but this was by far the worst. It seems that the longer my downloads went on, the slower the speed.
Damsels in Peril covers just about all the bases when it comes to accessing the photo materials. Each set is available for viewing as a basic thumbnail gallery, as an automatic, variable speed slideshow, or for downloaded in a ZIP file. The videos are offered only in a single file format and a single quality level. Older releases are offered in MPEG format will newer releases are offered in WMV format. Both download and streaming are supported.
While BDSM and bondage sites are certainly not rarer on that, it's not often that I see a site with such a specific focus as Damsels in Peril. They do a good job of giving this seems a cinematic feel, and the rope bondage, soft gags, and chloroform aspects make this a classic movement in peril collection. I'd like to see a more advanced members area to help tame this very large collection, but this fetish themed site is certainly worth a look as is.
