Penthouse Magazine was founded in 1965 and has a long-standing reputation for presenting beautiful women in glossy erotica. For some time now, it has also had its online presence, and that comes in the form of Penthouse Gold. The site has grown since we last visited it, but it remains a depository of high-end photos, videos and models, and continues to push boundaries with its erotica-to-porn content. The theme of Penthouse has always been one of gorgeous women presented in top-end photography, and since the coming of the internet, what was a stills magazine has now become a stills and video online magazine. With daily updates, 4K HD exclusive videos, excellent quality photos and a members’ area that’s easy to browse, you have a top-shelf magazine at your fingertips, and currently, for a very reasonable price.
One of readers’ favourite parts of Penthouse is its collection of Penthouse Pets. These are the magazine’s top models, with a new one taking the title each month. It’s been a feature for many years, and it’s still there with beautiful blonde, brunette and raven-haired ladies taking the title. It’s the first thing you see on the menu when you enter the members’ area, and with 648 currently featured, it’s a good introduction to what is to come. The Pets are presented with stats, interviews, photos and videos, and are one way of finding the amazing content.
Another is to head straight to the videos or galleries, the next two headings in the menu. New content is added daily, but when I visited, there were 5,376 videos and 10,848 galleries dating back several years and coming right up to date. Taking the videos first, you find each is presented with a clear sample shot showing the top model, often in action with a top guy model or two as the porn is non-stop here. The first page of samples alone showed me interracial couples, DP, foursomes, threesomes and plenty of hardcore. Clicking through to a viewing, you find the movies are there to be streamed in up to four options: 480p, 720p, 1080p and 4K HD. Downloads are also available in the same resolutions, plus, there are trailers to view and take. Movies run for 20 minutes on average, and it goes without saying that the quality is perfect.
Click to the galleries and you have even more to look at. Some collections were shot during the making of a video, so you get the same action to view. Others are solo shoots as you would find in the magazine, and all are high quality. You can expect to find 40 images per set, though numbers vary, and you can expect to find a nice mix of erotica and hardcore. Some of the galleries are reproductions from past photo shoots and the site does sometimes recycle content in order to meet its daily upload deadline, but there’s always something new to see, and some of the past galleries can easily be taken for more recent ones, the images are that sharp.

Click along the menu to the Extras, and you find Penthouse Magazine, Letters, Forum, Variations and the Vault. Obviously, the magazine is an online production of the print magazine, with all its content on display. The other areas also give you more Penthouse content, copies of their other magazines (such as Variations), stories and more. You will also find links to the girls in their own live shows, though this is managed by a different site/membership.
That top menu is the handy way to flick through the mass of content, and each content page and area can be rearranged by date and popularity. However, there are few other filters, and only the basic search engine to help you sift through several years’ worth of content, and I can’t help feeling, the search and sort options could be improved. Having said that, there is a category list with the video pages and there are plenty to choose from. The model index can be searched by name and sorted by various orders, and most of the girls have given an interview, so you can learn more about them.
Click to a video viewing page and you will easily find the viewing options, the descriptions and a place where you can leave comments. You’re also able to rate scenes with a thumbs up, and click over to each model’s index entry. The same goes for the galleries where you can view images online one at a time, use linked tag words, and take galleries in two choices of size in zip files. All the neat and handy navigation tools are there, and you’re not going to find any technical issues.
What you will find are good membership prices. Right now, you can enter for as little as $12.49 a month if you take the annual offer at $149.88, or $24.95 per month if you go monthly. There is also a three-month option which works out at $16.65 per month, but it seems daft to take that when there are better offers. You will find various ways to pay, including PayPal, but watch out for a pre-checked cross sale on the join page.
The last time we saw Penthouse Gold we praised it for its sizeable collection, quality models, history and quality, and there is no reason to change our opinion. It’s still a powerhouse of porn, with new and rotated content, established and new models, and a glossy, easy-to-use online presence to rival its biggest competitors. If you want porn while being assured of quality, then you want Penthouse Gold and its 4K HD top-class movies and classic beauty galleries.
