Velvet is an adult magazine thats produced by the same team behind Swank and other XXX rated publications, and just like its sister mags, this one features lots of hardcore action in addition to simple pose and tease shots. You also get to see these sexy magazine cover girls in hardcore movies. Membership includes bonus access to around a dozen additional sites at no extra cost.
Velvet Mag focuses more on photo sets then on videos with a total of around 1160 image galleries and nearly 380 movies. The update schedule doesn't seem to be set in stone based on the sites previous update history, but they're currently adding at least a few new videos and several new photo galleries each month. Additionally, members get access to online versions of the actual magazine with an archive that begins in September of 2006 and offers every issue since.
Although some of the materials here at Velvet Mag might be exclusive, was pretty obvious to me that much of this collection is not exclusive to this site. A good portion of the materials in both the photo and the video sections have that polished magazine look, but there's also quite a bit of stuff here that I would really have expected to find on a magazine based site. The action itself is pretty straightforward hardcore fare. You'll see plenty of masturbation and one-on-one fucking as well as some group action, lesbian scenes, and some light BDSM. Sophie Dee, Sarah Vandella and Staci Silver are some of the recognizable faces you can see here.
There's a considerable amount of variation when it comes to the quality here. Some of the flicks are available for download at up to 720 x 480 pixels, 2000 kbps. Others come at just 480 x 360 pixels, 800 kbps. The photos range from around 800 to 1600 pixels on the long side with quite a bit of variation from gallery to gallery.
The members area for Velvet Mag is found within the main members area for the Swank Network. The navigation might be a touch confusing at first since it can be hard to tell if the searches you execute applied to the overall network or just to a single site, but it was pretty easy to get the hang of things and they offer a basic keyword search box and a drop-down menu of categories to help you find what you want. There's also an advanced search page where you can get even more specific and narrow your results to include a specific combination of keywords and tags among other things. That being said, I often got results that didn't seem entirely accurate when using these tools.
To access the magazine archives, the site provides a magazine viewer with several different tools to allow you to enlarge pages, zoom in on something specific, print out pictures, and more. Photo sets may be viewed in thumbnail galleries, downloaded in ZIP files, or watched as automatic, variable speed slideshows.
Although I was surprised to see a collection that is obviously not exclusive, Swank Mag offers a pretty good collection of general hardcore action, softcore posing, masturbation, and lesbian fun starring gorgeous models. The bonus sites certainly help to add value to the price of membership and the overall network package is probably worth a look.
