You find them from the drop-down list where you also have BTS extras, compilations and some solos. The videos are shown on easy-to-use index pages where they have a roll-over trailer you can watch, and there’s another trailer on the viewing page. You can see from the dates that new videos are posted regularly (currently every five days), and you can also see the runtimes. The scenes tend to be around 35 to 45 minutes long, and there are usually simple setups in the form of a voiceover while we take in the scene, followed by a quick piece of dialogue which, after only a few second, leads to the start of the sex. Also included from day one is a model index, now with 330 girls to explore, and although there’s not a lot of info about any of them, it’s a good place to start your search, as each one links to her video appearances.
What’s not included straight away are the bonus channels. You add these week by week as you keep your membership, receiving 10 ‘Gems’ every Friday, which you can then use to unlock content from a bonus channel. The last time we visited Vixen, we noted its easy navigation style, and that hasn’t changed. You still have a very clear top menu and a user-friendly interface. There are ways to rearrange the content and filter it, and that’s thanks to the list of categories beside the videos’ index pages, and the category page. There’s a search box, though no advanced search, but there are tags and these are detailed. You use them as filters, and you find them on the video viewing pages.
While there, you also notice that members can get interactive. You can add things to your favourite collection, leave comments and give videos a rate. There is info about each scene too, and clear instructions on how to stream and download. If you have any issues, then you have an account area to explore, and there is a help link there, and you can also check how many ‘gems’ you have earnt so you can decide which channel to unlock next.
There are two options for signing up. Vixen can be part of a larger membership, and you can sign up for nine (or eight) channels in one go. In this case, you will be paying $69.95 per month for the complete bundle. The standard option is for the one-site membership at $9.95 per month. (That’s a special offer; the usual price is around $29.95.) There is also the 90-day option at $59.95, and the annual one at $99.95. All these come with the bonus channel access via the ‘gems’, and all are recurring. As is the two-day trial for $1.00, but that recurs at $39.95 per month.
