Black Lust is a partially exclusive site that seems to be based on a series of DVDs by the same name that are produced by the famous Swank magazine group. Members get access to a small collection here at Black Last as well as over a dozen additional collections in the Swank network. The site features softcore, lesbian, and hardcore materials featuring amateur black models as well as some of your favorite ebony stars.
Black Lust is still a relatively small collection with around 96 photo galleries and 48 videos so far. Both a new video and a new photo set are added about once a week. It looks like this stuff is probably a mixture of exclusive scenes from the company DVD lines as well as some nonexclusive materials as well.
Another thing worth mentioning is that, at first glance, the video collection appears to be a bit larger than it actually is. When I looked closer, I noticed that the last page of the video section is nothing more than brief clip ranging from just 10 seconds to about a minute long. I'm not sure why these short clips are here, and they often tend to cut out just before the action gets started. It can be quite frustrating!
The materials here run the gamut from softcore all the way to hardcore. You'll see lesbian scenes, masturbation, group sex, toys, and even a bit of bondage here and there. Much of the collection is done in a glamour, magazine style. That being said, many of the videos are very immature in nature and are filmed in small hotel rooms or private residences with handheld cameras. I saw lots of black amateurs here, but there are also many well-known ebony stars such as Vanessa Blue, Marie Luv, Angel Eyes, and Candace Von.
In terms of quality, I would say that overall Black Life is about average to slightly below average at times. The most recently added photos are 1600 pixels on the long side and are generally clear and well lit. Video quality tops out at 640 x 480 pixels, 1800 kbps for the most recent video ambitions. Quality may decline a bit as you get into the older areas of the archive, but the site has only been around for about a year and things are fairly consistently average throughout.
Like the other Swank network sites, the tour pages here do a good job of showing the kind of models and materials you'll see once inside the members area, but art is helpful when it comes to specific facts about the size of the collection, the update schedule, or the quality level.
The members' area here has a very basic look that is easy to use and navigate. Search and browse options aren't the most expensive I've seen, but for a site the size of Black Life, it's more than sufficient. Navigation menus near the top of the page provide easy access to the photo and video sections, a model index, a bonus section with DVDs and other low quality third-party materials, a news and blog section, a calendar for the network, and a private messaging system to contact the site's staff.
Flash streaming and WMV and MP4 download are the most commonly found file types for the flicks here, but the exact options available for each video can vary some. The site offers more consistency in accessing the photos which are offered in thumbnail galleries, in downloadable ZIP files, or as variable speed slideshows in your choice of three different sizes.
I believe there may have been a magazine titled Black Lust at one point or another, but there's no mention of that publication here and Black Lust just comes across as a somewhat generic ebony site. There are some sexy models and some of the materials don't look bad at all, but the main appeal here is in the bonus material and not in Black Lust itself. The overall network here may be worth a look, but this site on its own simply is not.
