Amsterdam Sex Trips gives viewers an intimate peek into the real red light district in Amsterdam. Tourists from around the world come to the red light district to fulfill their fantasies, and here you can see their explorations, their conversations as they have dream, and all of the XXX action that takes place in the Amsterdam brothels.
I believe that Amsterdam Sex Trips has been online since sometime in 2008, and updates were pretty sporadic throughout most of the sites history. When we visited in March of 2014, there were 131 episodes available with the last update having been made in December of 2013. The site's previous update history shows that several months can pass in between additions to the site, but I'm not sure whether updates are still ongoing here.
While it's obvious from the start that the site would be pretty focused on not only the action but what lead up to the action, I was actually a little surprised at just how much attention and time is spent with the male tourists before the camera gets anywhere near a brothel or a sexy babe. A good portion of the beginning of each flick consists of tourist style video footage of the men walking around the red light district neighborhood in Amsterdam, checking out old beer breweries and other historic buildings, and making chitchat about the various mostly European countries they come from. One video even featured some fairly extensive footage of people's feet walking around while some kind of vacuum cleaner-like sound played over and over. Some of what I saw here was, quite frankly, a little perplexing and completely unlike anything I've ever seen on a porn site before.
Once the action gets started, just as in real life, there can be mixed results. While the women are all clearly professionals and have no trouble performing at all, the men are a bit of a wild card. Some of the men here would be right at home on a porn set and seemed to have no trouble whatsoever getting rock hard and performing to their best ability despite the presence of the camera. Others are clearly intimidated by the entire situation, with predictable results, and in other cases the men are on the older side and don't exactly have the stamina of a young buck. Sometimes the sex tends to get pretty creative here with more touching and talking than porno style fucking, but it really just depends on the guy. While none of the scenes I watched got too crazy, there is definitely an element of "I wonder what's going to happen next?"
While the materials here might not have the polished look of porn shot in a studio setting, they are offered at very high quality levels of up to 1920 x 1080 pixels, 5000 kbps and up and look just about as good as I can imagine videos filmed in brothels to look. The photos, although often shot in a candid were amateur style, also look quite nice and display at 2000 pixels on the long side.
While the tour pages here clearly used the name Amsterdam Sex Trips, once inside the members area I noticed that the site called itself "Red Light Sex Trips" instead. Strangely, in the middle of browsing the site one day, something even more unusual happened and I suddenly found myself at the login page for a site called Lara's Playground. It was a rather strange little technical glitch that definitely threw me off, but I was able to make my way back to the proper members area using my browser's history feature.
Navigating the site is easy using the provided drop-down menu with dozens of different categories to choose from as well as a keyword search box. It will bit of scene information and some preview images are provided for each of the flicks.
Some of the HD quality video files here can be close to 2.5 GB and can take a half hour or so to download due to sheer size even though the download speeds here are at the top end of what I typically experience when downloading from porn sites. Flash streaming is provided for each video, and WMV format files in four different quality levels are provided for download. The photos can be viewed in thumbnail galleries or downloaded in ZIP files.
Amsterdam Sex Trips is an excellent name for this site that seems to put almost as much focus on the Amsterdam aspect as the sex. The videos are all about getting the full experience of being a red light district tourist complete with historic buildings, political chit chat, and stops for beer and coffee. You never know what will happen when you put these average men in the same room with professional Amsterdam hookers, and I think that's exactly the point at this rather unique site.
