Anime Fresh offers the chance to access a large catalog of both video and photo materials featuring adult themed Japanese style drawings and animation, a.k.a. hentai. The site covers everything from the mild to the wild with both big booby bikini babes and kinky orgies depicted in its wide-ranging catalog. Members can also access games and other extras.
When we visited Anime Fresh at the end of October 2013, the site offered a collection of around 389 videos and over 2700 updates in the image gallery and manga sections combined. Both the video and photos sections give at least the impression of updates, however only the image section seems to actually grow with at least one new gallery added every day or so.
Not much information is provided about the materials here, and it might actually be helpful to know a little bit about hentai in order to find specific things. That being said, there's probably something here to suit most tastes and it's a good mix of different categories within the hentai theme. I saw some popular video titles including Night Shift Nurses, Another Lady Innocent, and La Blue Girl. In addition to regular image galleries, the site also has a large section filled with illustrated manga and comics. These include Japanese style art as well as other styles. Another section called "series" also features comic style storylines, but I'm not sure what differentiates it from the manga and comics section. Image sections include hardcore drawings, lesbian themed art, she males, and softcore drawings.
The overall quality level of the images and comics style materials is pretty nice. The specific sizes can vary considerably, and some of the updates have much higher quality than others. The videos can vary somewhat as well, and the actual quality level you see on your screen will probably have a lot to do with how nice the original recording. The site offers many of the flicks for download at up to 640 x 4 80 pixels, 23 kbps but others come at lower specs.
The members area for Anime Fresh is rather plain, but it is straightforward and easy to use. You can check out how other members have rated each, or rate them yourself. Materials can be sorted in various ways including by date, alphabetical order, or number of views. There's also a basic keyword search box.
Each Anime Fresh video is available for streaming in MP4/Flash format as well as in WMV format in your choice of two quality levels. Downloads are offered in WMV and MP4 format in two quality levels each, including one that is suitable for portable devices. The image and comic style materials are offered for viewing in thumbnail galleries and can also be downloaded in ZIP files.
Anime Fresh has a decent sized collection and the image sections do seem to be growing, but the lack of real growth in the video section is definitely a concern. At its above average price, I would at least expect to find ongoing updates in both major content sections of the site. Anime Fresh does offer some fun extras and a wide-ranging collection, and that may be enough to convince you.
