Dyked Down is an original and innovative site from Nikki Hearts, porn producer and actress, and it's a site that plays with gender and sexuality in a sensual, yet hardcore way. It's relatively new, so not the largest site out there, but it is 100% exclusive and HD. Appearing with Nikki are known names like Lance Hart, Kissa Sins and Gia Page. Movies range from pure lesbian gonzo to transsexual, members can stream and download, there are images plus updates.
Often when reviewing a site, I browse around the videos, check a few samples, see if I can find anything unusual or noteworthy, and then start writing. In the case of Dyked Down, I found myself stopping at just about every video and rather than giving it a skip through and thinking 'Yeah, the usual kind of stuff', I was drawn in, enthralled and ended up spending ages transfixed. 'Trans' fixed, note, as this site although sounding purely lesbian by its title, employees straight, lesbian, trans-straight, trans-gay and lesbian, and, I guess, pansexual performers. That means, you're not simply looking at two 'don't care who I fuck pornstars per scene, but models with genuine and appropriate sexuality if that makes sense. Not only that, but the videos are also brilliantly directed and staged, and thus, make for highly rewarding viewing.
I won't ramble on about the uniqueness of the site, simply to say it is unlike any other I've seen, and that's because of who is involved. Not only Nikki Hearts, but also F to M transgender model Viktor Belmont, plus Lance Hart and Leigh Raven. There are 18 models in the index, some with tats and piercings looking decidedly 'alt', others who are ink-free but beautiful babes, and this leads to a great variety of chemistry in the scenes.
Some of them are scenario scenes, reality if you like, and then some are sections of longer stories, like when Lance Hart plays a priest at Saint Judas' church and tries to convert girls to 'straightness.' But don't think of these as standard 'straight man's idea of what lesbians do' kind of lesbian porn, they are not. Okay, so now get the viewing details.
The scenes are neatly arranged in the videos area where you can reorder them if you want. Good roll-over sample shots (with dates showing updates have been regular) lead to simple and effective viewing pages where there's an auto-start stream with three options for speed. Like the Mp4 downloads, each scene comes in 1,920 x 1,080 HD and also 1,280 x 720 HD. There is also a 480p option for phones and lighter connections. Movies run for 15 to 30 minutes depending on the scene, there are brief descriptions and, in some cases, closed captions. Video quality is excellent.
Over in the photos department, you currently find 14 image sets with anything from two to 60 individual images; there's no set rule. Open a gallery to see large, clear thumbnails that, when selected, lead to screen-fitting photos that can be expanded online to their full size, though which cannot be downloaded due to the lightbox in use. However, there is a zip file of each full set (and a slideshow to run online), and when you take this, you find images at 3,600 x 2,400 px. Scenes also come with screencaps which can be downloaded, and they're at 3,840 x 2,160, showing us that 4K digital cameras are used for filming.
Updates are happening, Dyked Down is staying up to date (the latest movie was called Quarantine Cutie, so it's also topical), and the content is perfect quality. There are no extras or bonus sites.
Not only does Dyked Down have excellent content, but it's also got an excellent members' area. The design is flawless, and there are plenty of search and sort options. Content can be rearranged, there's a search function, and there is also a category page to use as a filter. On top of that, you have linked tag words with videos and examples of similar scenes on each viewing page. The model index doesn't hold much info, but it does let you search by star and then click to her/his/their videos.
Members can also get interactive with rates and comments, and there are links to social media pages if you want to follow Nikki and the site. I found no technical issues and had no complaints about the site's quality, its design or the way it runs.
Signing up to Dyked Down will currently give you 25 exclusive and highly original videos, and it will cost you $24.95 every 30 days, which is a fair price for exclusive content. Updates have been regular, and there's no reason to suspect they will stop coming in, so longer-term deals are offered at $49.95 for 180 days (that's six months, of course, and a hell of a bargain), and there's an annual deal at $99.95 which is also excellent value. There is a three-day trial which comes back at the regular $24.95, but I'm not sure if it will limit what you can see. There are no hidden charges or cross-sales.
Dyked Down plays with gender fluidity, offers trans-sex and lesbian scenes, some straight hardcore, a range of known pornstars and lesbian models in gloriously different sexual scenes. The quality is perfect, movies are Full HD, there are mobile-suitable files, high-class images and a smooth members' interface. In fact, it has everything going for it to make it the most original lesbian and trans hardcore site of the new decade, and although it's new, updates continue to arrive.
