The Erotic Movie Station provides hardcore content under a myriad of popular mainstream niches. The full length scenes provided derive from retail DVD titles, so you can be sure to see some lengthy fuck fests, in high quality videos. Updates come on a daily basis, with plenty of information on upcoming scenes, so members are guaranteed they won't run out of steamy porn to view.
It's hard to put this site under a specific category, as there's just so much different type of porn to choose from. If anything, I suppose I'd classify it as a general porn site, as it provides every thing from softcore, hardcore, fetish porn, and every thing in between. Definitely one of the safer options for porn site developers, as the audience the site attracts, is quite a large, and diverse one. So it's pretty safe to say that there's something her for just about every one.
Now as you already know, the scenes have been taken out of retail DVDs, so obviously they aren't exclusive to the site. The DVDs are produced by various porn companies, and run for a good 1 to 3 hours each. The site developers have ripped the scenes out of the DVDs, so they can be downloaded on an individual basis, this makes downloading a lot less tedious, rather than having to download an entire DVD. Pornstar fans will also be glad to know, they'll find many well known pornstars in the line up.
The fact that the content is nonexclusive, is drowned out by the waves of content on offer. All up there's a grand total of over 3000 scenes, and over 4000 picture galleries to go through. Plus the site looks to be updated on a daily basis, so it goes without saying that members won't have to worry about running out of porn. In fact there's so much porn, they may not even have time to view every thing on offer. So content numbers is definately not a factor here.
Members have the privilege of downloading all scenes on offer, with absolutely no DRM restrictions. The scenes have been cut into short chapters in video files of Mov, Avi, and Wmv formats, all of which have been encoded in different bit rates. The Avis come out on top of the ladder with an encoding rate of roughly (1300kbps @ 320x240). Wmvs are next up clocking in at (700kbps @ 320x240). The Mov files come in last place with a mediocre bit rate of roughly (120kbps @ 320x240).
The structure of the video files is a little lacking, and could do with some working. What I mean by that, is the scenes are either available in Avi, or Mov, but aren't available in both formats. And seeing as the formats come in different encoding rates, it really doesn't help with the consistency of quality. This was my only gripe with the content so far, that, and the Mov files are kind of crappy.
The picture content provided is also nonexclusive to the site, but as I said before, with a massive collection to go through, it really didn't phase me that much. Like the videos, the consistency of quality does tend to vary quite a bit, but for the most part they're relatively clear, and colorful. The sizes images come in are fairly average, some getting up to 531x800 pixels. They aren't tiny, but there's definately room for growth.
The general presentation of Erotic Movie Station could do with a work over. The site design definately looks dated, as there weren't any fancy graphics or the like. The color scheme is so so, though it's all in solid colors, so it's not much to look at. On the other hand, the site is very easy to navigate, which for some is more important than a fancy layout, and designs, so it's not all bad.
At the top of the homepage you've got a nice site logo, with a search engine beside it. I felt this search engine probably won't be used that much, as the videos have been organized in their niches anyway, the only use I got out of it, is searching via porn star name, so I suppose it does have it's uses.
Down the left side of the page are the links to the content. These links are organized via niche, clicking on the link will present you with all the video, or picture content which fall under that particular niche of your choice. Below the navigation menu are thumbnails of today's updates, scrolling further down the page, you'll find the section dedicated to the upcoming updates. There's no information in regards to when these videos were uploaded, so I'm not entirely sure on how active the site still is.
The picture galleries, and videos are organized within a number of indexed pages. Each page carries up to 12 galleries, all of which are portrayed in a single thumbnail. Upon clicking this thumbnail you'll be taken to the main content area, from there you can choose to view the images individually, or download the various sections of a scene using the links provided. It's all very standard stuff, and I'm sure most of you will have no problems browsing, and accessing the content.
From what I've seen, I'd have to say Erotic Porn Station is a fairly straight cut, general porn site. It does quite well with content numbers, and is certainly worth a look at, but with hundreds of other sites like this, I'm not entirely certain if it has enough stand out features to turn heads it's way. The only aspect which could do with work, is the structure of video files. Other than that, it's a fairly well rounded site.
