Combat Zone is a very well known name in the world of hardcore porn, and like most DVD studios, these guys are making the move to the online realm. Their official site, combatzone.net, offers access to many of their hottest scenes in easy to use download and streaming formats. Combat Zone currently offers around 93 scenes and updates are made each Friday. Although many sites which offer scenes taken from DVD lack photo sets, most of the 93 videos here also comes with a set of photos from the scene plus plenty of pose and tease shots of the hot babes or babes before the hardcore action gets going. I saw a scene here and there which offered only videos or only photos, but for the most part, you get both. The quality of the videos at Combat Zone is pretty good and definitely what I would consider above average, but at 640x480 pixels, 1500 kbps or so, these don't always look flawless and even less so when enlarged to full screen. While I'd definitely like to see these offered 2000 kbps at least in order to preserve more quality for full screen viewing, I think most viewers will be more than pleased with these as-is. Each scene averages around 25 minutes long and most of that is action packed since these don't seem to have much plot for the most part.
At over 1000 pixels on the long side, the Combat Zone photos are pretty nice quality and come in sets averaging about 20 images each. Lighting and color balance seem good, and while these aren't the most creative or artistic porn pics I've seen, they definitely show off all the sexy babes in their tiny little lingerie outfits to good advantage.
Black, silver and green dominate the tour pages at Combat Zone, and overall this is a fairly typical site preview which offers downloadable trailers to only a few of the available scenes. I thought the fairly extensive model list with preview pictures worked well and should give you a good idea of the type of babes you'll be seeing here.
The member's area at combatzone.net is a little too simplistic for the size and type of collection offered here. Instead of listing the videos by title or even given the DVD title these scenes come from, they're simply listed in order of date with the female star or stars name above a brief scene description. As far as I can see, there's not even any way to tell which DVD these come from until you start downloading since the file names used by the site contain the title.
Aside from the date-ordered list of scenes, the only other ways to browse the Combat Zone collection are via a top rated list as voted on by other members of the site and a drop down menu with an alphabetized list of all of the female performers. The small text menu below the page header combined with the alphabetical model list on the side should get you pretty much anywhere you need to go and the rest of the menu options lower down on the page appear to be strictly ads and up-sells.
While browsing the scenes at Combat Zone, Clicking on the thumbnail will take you to the main scene page where you'll see the photo gallery and links to the rest of the materials. If you want to go straight to the video, there is a small text link to take you to the particular page for the video or photo materials as well as screen captures from the video if available. Galleries may be downloaded in ZIP files and all videos are offered in WMV and RM formats. There is a full length WMV version available in the highest quality level plus three different quality levels in spit pieces while the RM files are available in a single quality level in segments only.
Overall the Combat Zone member's area almost seems to have been built for a completely different site and just doesnt work optimally for a DVD download collection, but the materials themselves are nice and probably make up for it for those interested in seeing some of the steamiest scenes from this studio's archive in a convenient online format.
