Anime Games is a fairly long-running site that offers Flash games and movies, image materials, and animated videos, all featuring anime style characters and other cartoons in very naughty scenarios. The site explores straightforward sex topics, supernatural beings, sexy cartoon robots, and much more.
I'm pretty sure that Animate Games has been around for at least five years or so, and it looks like the site has gone through a few different incarnations since its launch. When we visited in late October of 2013, the site offered a collection of over 200 Flash games, 330 regular animated videos, and around 30 Flash animated videos and "Flash Adventures" combined. The "Flash Adventures" are a little bit like X-rated Choose Your Own Adventure books, where you, as the viewer, get to choose the course of action the characters take.
Although there are more movies here then there are games, and the name of the site makes it obvious that the games are the main focus. That being said, some of these games aren't very impressive. Most of these can be played for free elsewhere, and they play only in your browser, anyway. The games here are not downloadable and most of them are quite simple. They include things like puzzles, word finds, and badly drawn 3-D boobs that you can bounce around. The more complex games were often offered only in the Japanese language, and I wasn't able to play these Japanese language games in most cases because I simply could not understand what I was posted to. In some cases, the games were just demos and I was unable to access all of their features. Unfortunately, I think most of what's available in the games section here is fairly low in quality.
I actually had a better time checking out the movies and image sets here. The image galleries can often be quite large with as many as 500 or more pictures each. Sometimes, the images are clearly related and show a progression of stripping, sex, or other actions. Other times, the galleries are simply made up of unrelated images. The videos here typically run from around a half hour to an hour each and include popular adult anime titles such as Night Shift Nurses, My Brothers Wife, and Princess 69 Midnight Gymnastics.
The images here come from a wide variety of sources and the exact dimensions and quality levels can vary. Most of the images look quite nice. The video quality tops out at around 640 x 480 pixels, 1800 kbps. Most of these look pretty nice and can even be enlarged somewhat, but I would look for my tire specs if you're interested in viewing these flicks on large screens.
The Anime Games game, video, and image materials are found in a fairly easy to use, but not exactly feature filled, members area. A keyword search box is offered, and materials can be sorted in order of date, viewing, or alphabetical order, but the materials are not divided into helpful categories and some additional browse tools would definitely make it more enjoyable to check out this collection. The site does offer the chance to rate materials, or save games or materials for later playing and viewing.
While the games here are not downloadable, the videos and photos are. The flicks are offered in two different quality levels in WMV format and at a single quality level for Flash streaming. The images can be viewed in thumbnail galleries from within the site, and ZIP file downloads are also offered.
While it's always nice to see a site focusing on something that's a little off the beaten path, such as anime games, the collection here could really use quite a bit of work. The games are sometimes just demos or are unplayable unless you speak Japanese, and they're often fairly unimaginative games that simply place a naked anime character in a basic puzzle type game. The image and video materials help to add value, but at an above average price, anime games fans may want to look elsewhere.
