It's not a job, it's a way of life, and it is also something totally unique. If you are fed up with the same-old same-old in the porn world and want something new and insightful, then you want Real Life Porn. This is the only porn couple working in Colombia (they tell me) and the only couple putting out a porn site about making a porn site, in a porn site that runs like a blog, gives you exclusive uprated, hardcore sex and shows you what goes on behind the camera.
There's not a lot here though, that's the only really downside at the moment, because the site is new, but still, there were 23 episodes to view and the site had only started about six weeks before my visit, and updates so far have been good and frequent. They are all stream only but they run for around 20 to 60 minutes each and they are a nice mix of backstage and onstage, if you see what I mean.
When you log in you find that the site runs like a blog, with posts containing the stream and the text. There are large images to guide you around, and show you previous episodes, and a link at the top to the updates from Real Life Porn and Living with Laura, your bonus content. (More about that later.) You can also see whats top rated and you can add things to your own favourites area, but that's about it for menu items.
So, heading to the Episodes, I found the 23 all set out with titles and text. You can see them visually with sample shots from the home page, but heading to the menu then brings them to you in the manner of text blog posts. Click the title to open the post you want and there you have the same text, with upload dates and your viewing options. Actually there is only the one, and it is a stream in a flash player that's at around 960 x 540 in size. You can go full screen and there is a volume control, but that's about it for viewing. You will be better off on a faster connection as I found the streams could take a while to get buffering and loading, and my connection is only mid-range.
The movies though are worth viewing for two main reasons. For one, they show you what it is like to be making Colombian porn, with the director Cristian talking to you sometimes, and also directing the models, there are interviews and set-ups with lots of background stuff to introduce each scene. And then you get the made scene itself and these are also a good mix. There are duo scenes of course, at least one transsexual one and Cristian's other half, Andrea the porn model, appears in many. The editing is also good, with lots of different effects and styles in use, including split screen. You get the impression that these guys spend their life making these movies and then working on them and then uploading them and adding in the posts. In fact, this is their way of life, just as the tour stated.
You will have to read the posts if you don't speak Spanish, as there were no subtitles (that I saw) and so some of the time I didn't know what was going on. But a quick read of the text will explain all. And you can access the other posts from the list on the right as well, when in the home page, so you can easily see whats newly added. There is no real update schedule as yet, the site is still quite new, but posts are being added, and around once per week at least.
And as for that extra content, you have Living With Lara, a set of six episodes featuring a Latina, Colombian porn star and her lifestyle. Again it's all in the same format with blog posts leading to streaming videos, and updates are also happening here. So it's in keeping and a nice little extra for members to browse.
Whats nice about Real Porn Life is that it is not like your standard adult site. It is dark with bright lettering so easy to read, and it is set out more like a blog, but a members only one. You have a very simple top menu with drop-downs for the main content and the bonus content and so it is all very easy to browse. Looking at episodes brings text only but clicking the title of each post brings the videos and the text. There were no galleries and videos are stream only.
You will also find a right hand column, on most of the pages, which lets you search the site with keywords, and also brings you a list of recent comments and recent episodes. Members can comment on anything they want, each post has a large comments box to use. There are also lists of recently read and most read posts to view. You're also able to rate the content and use linked tag words to help you move around.
There is an area for Favourites to be stored in, but I didn't see how to do this; I must have missed that option. And there's a Profile area as well. This is a Wordpress dashboard where you can change the look and colour of the site, change your displayed nickname and see your account details. Again, it's all easy to use and works well, and I had no technical issues with Real Life Porn at all.
I haven't seen such an original site for a very long time and I would recommend Real Porn Life to all porn aficionados. This is something new. Not only is it backstage and before the camera footage, it is also great quality, brilliantly edited and simply displayed.
