This site is one in a series that make up a network called Boyfriend Pass. It's all about reality and genuine amateur guys of various sorts, and Athletic BFs is about sporty guys. At least that's what the tour shows you: famous guys naked, well, Photoshopped images of sports stars; but when I got inside I didn't find this content or site at all. My membership led me to the network home page, I had lots to see, but not what I was expecting. Read on if you like a good mystery.
Take a look at the tour and you will see lots of swimmers and footballers, athletes and some jocks, amateur guys and some famous faces. That's not exactly what I found when I entered the members' area. I found a drop-down list of sites in the network, and Athletic BFs was not in the list. Perhaps that's because I am already in the site, I thought, so I went to one of the other sites but no, still no site by the name of the one I thought Id joined. So I checked the home page content and found some sample shots of some very cute and sexy guys, but these were updates from other sites in the network. I then noticed a feature that I wish all sites would have Images from the tour. I hate it when you buy into a site because of a guy on the tour and when you get in you cant find him. Here though is a link promising to take me to the sporty guys I saw before I signed up.
Nope. Didn't recognise any of them, and where was David Beckham? (Not that I wanted to see him again you understand, I'm just making a point.) Interestingly all the guys here were from Hung BFs, so I checked my membership, I even went back out and in again in case Id somehow signed into the wrong site but no. Athletic BFs doesn't seem to exist in any form other than as a tour.
But: if you are on the hunt for amateur content then this collection of sites is going to suit. Watch out for the TWO pre-checked cross sales on the sign up pages, you don't want to end up with three recurring memberships do you? And then, once you are inside you find content from 22 BF sites, some of which is probably shared among the various sites.
I checked out Ripped BFs as that came closest to the hunky athletes Id wanted to see, and although I didn't see anyone famous I did find a generous helping of self-shot and non-exclusive video clips and pics of guys with nice bodies. Movies were available to stream in various qualities, and to download in various versions. Mp4, Mpg, WMV and GP3 included, so you've got some mobile compatible files there too. Clips were a mix, some were short at a couple of minutes or less, others were longer so the run times are as variable as the visual qualities; and that goes for all the clips in all of the sites.
There's a handy top menu here which lists Movies as one of its links and if you use this you will find all the clips from all of the sites arranged in one set of index pages. There are 16 clips per page, you are told the runtimes and titles, and there were 160 pages, so as I write there are around 2,560 clips in this network. And that gives me hope that some of what you see on the tour will actually exist in here, somewhere.
Navigating around this network is very easy. The main, top collection of links and functions stays with you so you can swap sites very easily by using the drop-down list, and you wont get lost. There is also a category list and it is in here that you find the only reference to Athlete which, when chosen, led to no results being found. Celebrity gave me one guy jerking off but I had no idea who he was, but he in turn led me to a photo gallery from Hung BFs. Anyway, across the top of the pages is also a slider of images showing you sites so you can click one of those to move sites as well. There are links to the all videos area and beneath the main menu you see the latest news, if on a home page, and what has been added recently to what site.
The videos sometimes come with a basic description or written intro and you can rate them as you go through them, and there are links to other related videos on movie viewing pages, plus your download links, but that's it. I did find some galleries and they came with zip file downloads, plus slideshows and easy navigation. When you are on index pages for content you can easily re-order them by date and popularity.
There is a link in the menu to Bonus DVDs and this pens a new window bring you access to Pride Mov, an online streaming video theatre. That's a pretty neat bonus. The cam and dating links are the usual up-sell affair where you might get some free activity but where you will probably have to sign up and pay more to go private and have fun.
I was confused that I didn't actually get into the site that was advertised, and I was even more confused that the site didn't actually seem to exist. I was concerned about the two pre-checked cross sales on the sign up page, but I was happy that I found such a lot of amateur content in a large network. It needs some attention to detail, and it needs to sort the tour pages out, but if you're after all things varied and amateur, and you don't mind the occasional poor quality, then come on in.
