Disruptive Films is a brand-new site offering a brand-new concept in gay porn. They're promising cinema-worthy movies complete with excellent acting, solid storylines, characters, music and, of course, plenty of hardcore gay porn. The filmmaking quality is superb, they've lined up a cast of stars, and have started memberships with a small collection of 4K exclusive, but with plenty more made and ready to load up week on week.
We are one of the first teams to access Disruptive Films and take a look inside, and I can tell you, we liked what we saw. Okay, so the site was so new there were only three movies, but there were six more ready to be added week by week into the future, and these had trailers, so we have a good idea of what to expect. In a word, excellence. The qualities of the filming are outstanding, even down to the atmospheric music, and long gone are the old days of porn actors' clunky acting; the dialogue and characterisations are totally believable. So far, the scenarios include ultra-straight car mechanics and closeted soldiers, and in the future, we can expect stories about older/younger cherry-popping and dirty cops.
The scenes, of course, contain porn. I mean, that's what we're here for, and a large part of each movie is dedicated to it, but rather than being gratuitous, it grows from the story and characters. The parts are well played by top names such as Roman Todd, Ryan Jordan and Dalton Riley, and in the future, we can expect to see Jack Hunter, Dante Colle and Michael Boston making their appearances. The actors are hot, studly guys mainly in their 20s and 30s with fit bodies, solid dicks and tight asses, and they're playing suited, suave or rough and butch guys in full-on, bareback hardcore.
Two of the scenes so far posted run for 55 minutes, so you can see you're getting your money's worth, and the other is 37 minutes, with the lengthy sex scene in the middle of the three-act short. Forthcoming movies are also advertised at 40, 50 and 60 + minutes, so we're not looking at your standard 20-minute short porn flick here, not by any means. The movies are available to stream and download, and there are images to go with them, plus trailers. They come with a synopsis, lengthy descriptions to set you up, and links to the 14 models in the index so you can find out if your top hunk has appeared in anything else.
Viewing choices are extensive. The top-res is offered at 4K HD (3,840 x 2,160), and files can be large. There are then seven other download options, all in Mp4 format, and they range from 1,920 x 1,080 HD, through standard rates like 540p, all the way to the smallest of mobile sizes to suit all, including 480p and 160p. You might have gathered that I was impressed by the quality, and the playback is faultless. The sound is crisp and clear, the visuals too, and even at full screen on a standard-rate stream, there's no or little loss of quality. Streams are offered in the same eight choices of resolution, so no-one should miss out.
The galleries are linked from the video viewing pages and also set up in their own area. Again, there are only three right now as the site only launched a couple of days before our visit, but more content will be coming soon. Images are at 1,920 x 1,080 px and look fine. There are around 20 pics per set and you can save them one at a time or in a zip file, and they are neatly presented, with unobtrusive watermarks in one corner.
There are no bonuses or extra content at Disruptive Films, not yet at any rate, but once you realise you are viewing something exceptional, you find you don’t need extras. Remember, more of these exciting movies are on their way each week.
As well as offering top-class movies, Disruptive Films has gone for a top-class design to its members' area. It holds a simple menu that directs you to the content and the model index, gives you a messaging service and a home page where you can find extra news, and all pages open smoothly with no advert clutter. There is a basic search box, and viewing pages hold category tags, which will be useful for filtering in the future. The model index contains 14 guys, though no info about them, but is still another handy browse tool.
Video viewing pages also have some nice functions. You can rate each scene, leave comments, join discussions with other members, and read the well-written descriptions. These pages also hold ideas for what scene to view next, and that function is going to become more useful over time as the site stocks up with new exclusives. I had no technical issues and loved the lack of adverts; it makes a refreshing change and simply adds to the classiness of the site.
Disruptive Films has started off with two sign-up offers. The first is a monthly membership at $9.95, which is a bargain, but that is for streaming only. You will still have all eight streaming speeds to choose from and have access to the rest of the site, so the only thing you can't do is download. However, the annual membership plan stands at $95.40 (the same as only $7.95 per month), and with that, you can download as well as stream.
Disruptive Films will disrupt the standard gay porn world no end with its high-class, well thought out and crafted hardcore movies where the porn sits well within character-driven stories. With excellent acting, sex, filming, sound, music and set design, you are getting something high above the norm with this new and exciting membership site. Give it time to grow, but stay with it as no-one else is currently making porn as good as this.
