Italian Gay comes to you from a well-known producer of straight erotica and porn. Looks like that company is now branching out and giving us some Italian stallion content to get us going. It's exclusive here, with movies and guys and photos, and what you are looking at is a site that already has a good stock of films and which is adding many more through its regular updates. It is actually a very simple site with a basic design and navigation, and it presents no problems.
A quick word of warning: when you log in to this site you get to the Andrea Nobili main page, and it's all straight with girlies and stuff. You will find the link to the gay site, Italian Gay, over on the right.
Ok, so you have found your way to the home page and the first thing you will notice here is that there is a lot coming soon. That is because, at the moment, the site is uploading a new scene every few days, and the update dates are shown so you can keep a check on that. Click through to the Movies area and you find the full set of titles to view.
There are nine scenes sampled per page here and I found six pages, with a total of 48 scenes dating back only to July of this year. This means we are looking at a new site and one that has lots to offer as time goes on. To sample the scenes I clicked at random and landed on page three. Like the others, the nine scenes here came with their titles and dates, plus a score. I assume this was a members rating but all scores were set at 50% at the time of viewing. I could just make out what was going on in each scene from the rather small sample pics, and the titles also helped: A fetish party was pretty self-explanatory, Men at work and secret lovers were also pretty obvious if unoriginal titles, so I went with The red sofa as it sounded kind of art-house.
Sorry, being silly here, the Red Sofa is actually an 11 minute original sex scene with two (I assume) Italian guys. I found that his scene was available to stream in high, medium or lower quality versions and there was Flash and Quicktime streaming available. The screen size changed according to the resolution chosen, the lowest version didn't do very well at full screen of course, so the higher you can go the better. This particular scene started with some rather 'musak' style music, which continued under the natural soundtrack before finally, mercifully, fading away, and the action also started pretty much in your face. One guy stripped, put on a rubber and the other dark haired slim and twinky looking boy sat on his cock. The hardcore continued over the red sofa for the duration and ended with a decent enough cum shot, though I wasn't able to jump through the scene to cut to the chase.
That's just one example and I don't mean to sound too flippant, I am just in that kind of mood. The movies are actually fine. Maybe not the most original ever but they do seem to star Italian guys and there are not that many sites around specifically dedicated solely to Italian men.
By the way. You can also download the scenes and there are buttons that lead to the files for MP4 and iPod style files. Movies come with galleries of screen shots in a different area, you will see it in the top menu. The screen shots area looks the same as the video area but sample pics lead to galleries where the chosen image opens to the right and the set of many thumbnails is to the left. It works, the quality is variable and you've got slideshows for the 720 x 480 sized screen caps.
The site is actually very simply designed, yet it doesn't seem to suffer for that. It almost looks amateurish and that was a bit of a surprise as I thought the company behind it was pretty big. Never mind, it all works and it isn't hard to use. You will find social networking buttons at the top, the kind of thing that is becoming standard on sites these days. At the top of the pages you also find details about the amount of runtime in total the site has; when I was there is was 18 hours. Beneath this is the main menu.
This menu leads you to the movies, as discussed above, to the photosets which have those slideshows and simple navigation buttons and to a calendar which is where you can see whats coming up soon; the home page also contains this information. You will see a page of recommended sites that holds two advertisements and to the right you will see access back to the straight areas of Andrea Nobili should you wish to go and have a look. There is also a link here to a Gay Cam site which turns out to be a kind of third party, up-sell as you have to sign up to use it; though it may well have some fun free chat to get you started.
I have to say, I didn't find Italian Gay very interactive, except that you can rate each scene and help change that 50% score per movie. But I did find it easy enough to use though very basic in design and functionality.
Whats good here at Italian Gay is that you get to see some exclusive hardcore from a company that's been in porn a while. It's available to you with two updates per week, in a very simple site that is not particularly interactive, but which is easy to use and offers a decent enough choice of viewing options. Movies are down to earth, short and to the point, and there is nothing glamorous or over the top here, which is why Id like to see a slightly lower membership fee.
