Heres another site from the same producers as the likes of Martins Life. You may know the gang. They have a habit of not updating their sites and of putting up homemade content that is fine on the one hand but a bit dodgy on the other. This site contains 35 videos and 33 photo sets (based on those videos) of real guys caught on cam doing real things. Its not a top class site by any means but it does have exclusive content, some of which is rewarding.
Real life footage of guys who dont know they are being filmed as they piss, suck, fuck, jerk of and generally do what everyone does when they think they are alone? Im always skeptical. For a start your models need to sign paperwork before you can show them. Sorry to spoil your illusions. So that means that a good voyeur site should trick you into believing its real. Does this one? We shall see.
First off you have only a set amount of content and not much hope of anything new coming your way soon. I say this because the most recent update was made in July 2007, thats 18 months before my visit. The text does say that there are some more videos and galleries coming really soon but I wouldn't hold your breath. What you have then is a static stock of amateur, home made porn that is exclusive though rapidly becoming dated. The theme here is voyeurism so you should expect hidden cams, low lighting, natural sound and a secretive filming technique.
And there was some of that to be found. For realism the movies did quite well though the static cameras (unavoidable if youre going for the real hidden cam look) meant that very often you couldn't see exactly what was going on. The two guys jerking each other off in the sauna was real enough though most of the action took place with one guys back to me, masking what was going on. I cant even be sure if either of them came at the end of the fuzzy, ten minute long kiss and wank session. That was one of the lower quality offerings, 320 x 240 @ 225kbps, so the fuzziness was to be expected. When I tried the DVD quality version movies I found DivX files (which arent usually a problem) but could find no way of opening them. Even with an internet search and a new piece of software the files could not be located. I checked out the screen cap set of pics for the movie Id missed to see what happened, as the guy in the sample shot looked hunky, and there I found loads of images of a man in trousers, topless, sitting on a sofa and hardly moving. What was that all about?
Maybe this is specialised voyeur stuff and I'm missing the point but there wasnt very much in the way of sexy goings-on going on. For solo guys pissing, men taking a shower and men sitting there doing very little you'll do fine, but for hardcore and realistic voyeurism content you wont do so well.
In the galleries you will find 33 sets of screen caps and other kinds of images that are either 548 x 411 px in size or 1065 x 599 in size. Number vary from a few to around 100 and the quality also varies. You tend to get lots of the same shot, especially with the screen caps, and the over all effect is rather dull.
Your only extra here is the forum where members of many sites have their own places to post and comment about the various site. This area was called chat for members. On other sites by the same team you go straight to a forum, but at Gays Voyeur I was taken to a page advertising Mike 18 (one of the better sites in the link list) which had nasty, heavy music, a trailer of two twinks sucking and a list of free galleries. Fine. Another click and another window and I was at the forum.
In the Gays Voyeur topic area were two threads, a welcome message dated 18th June 2008 and a post by a member two days later titled Close the site. A few other posts reinforced what I had thought: that the site should not advertise updates if it does not give any; that its unfair for people to sign up and be cheated with no new content; that what there is there is pretty naff and that, generally its a lousy site and nowhere near as good as some others that the company own. I didn't see any response from the webmasters either.
So thats a fun extra for you some slagging off by members and some interesting posts about better sites.
Apart from the lack of updates you have a distinct lack of other things too. There are no interactive options, no streaming, no zip downloads, no rating or comments boxes and well, no anything really. Its easy to get around the site, there is not much of it after all, but its not got a great design and with the DivX technical problem you are restricted to low quality MWV files that may be quick to download but which are pretty hard to watch.
In a nutshell there are loads of better gay voyeur sites out there and this was a poor attempt to start one up which then didnt get added to. No updates mean no new material, no response from webmasters means no customer care and, unless you want to take a quick and cheap trial, grab the movies and run, then there isnt much point to signing up here. Sorry voyeur hunters; keep looking.
