You are looking at the Gay Engage Network here and Straight But Broke is just one of the collections of non-exclusive videos and pics that you can access when you sign up. The price is a bit high considering this is all stream only and third party content, brought in from other sites for your entertainment. But on the plus side, there is a lot of it and there are 13 sites in the network to entertain you. Mainly here we are looking at a collection of hazings and straight looking men.
At first I thought that this site might be like many of the others that have the word Straight and Broke in the title, like Broke Straight Boys for example. Sites where real guys arrive to make movies for a gay audience, where genuine amateur straight men let themselves get jerked off or sucked on camera in return for cash. But no, this site is not like that at all. There is, in fact, no real way of knowing if these guys are actually straight or not. There is a great mix of content and each video has its own guys and its own scene.
For example: I clicked into one where there was a group of, I assumed students going through some hazing or initiation or party. Straight acting and non-camp looking guys whipping butt and messing around, and then getting a blow job as a dare; that kind of thing. I then opened another scene and there was a smooth twink being fucked by another smooth twink on a sofa; no intro, no "Hi I am straight", nothing to let me know what was going on. Simply a gay, hardcore clip. So, there may be 126 clips or scenes here but a lot of them look like rips from gay hardcore DVDs and scenes from other sites. There are some where a guy is letting himself get jerked off and these do look like strait men, but it is really difficult to tell at times.
Another thing to bear in mind is that the site and the others in the list, only allow you to stream the content, and when you are streaming you cant jump around through it. You open a clip press play and there you go. It is online streaming only and clips tend to be short, around the two or three minute mark. The quality is also pretty basic with only the one choice and that is one that will suit all connections, but which won't generally allow full screen viewing. You can try but the results are not good.
The galleries too are a bit odd. Well, actually there is only the one gallery and it holds 50 varied images. Again there is no way of knowing if these guys are either straight or broke, and if they are broke there is nothing in any of the content to suggest they made the clips or had their photo taken because they needed money, so the title of the site is a bit own out of the window. But the pics are of men and often they are naked and straight looking, there are a few fisting ones and anal insertion pics too, which is why I say it is all a bit odd: the gallery seems to have nothing to do with the theme.
And then you have the other content areas to view. Although you might class 13 sites as a network they are really all part of the same, one site. So when you select one from the drop-down list or from the advert images, you open it up within the same window, within the same site. This makes it easy enough to find the videos and you are going to get hundreds of varied clips for your investment. There are loads of black and interracial clips, as the ebony sites listed here come out really well for content numbers. There are also more straight looking guys in other sites and more twinks and jocks to view as well. It's one great big melting pot of all things non-exclusive and amateur.
There are some navigation issues to deal with: I found it tricky to get to the right gallery, initially at any rate. I was in the members' area, I clicked to the photos area and was booted out to the tour, so I logged in again and got to a gallery, and then had to select the site I wanted and then found another gallery. So it's a bit hit and miss, but it seems that most of the sites have a collection of 50 varied images that often have nothing to do with the title of the site.
I also had problems finding the video content to start with. The page that opens first, as the home page, seemed to contain only the ebony and Thug content; I clicked the site I wanted and then had to click videos again. You get used to it in the end.
The site has very few interactive options, if any. It looks like you can cast votes and rate content as each sample images has five stars with it, but these are decoration only. There is no information about scenes or photos and no chance to vote, rate, comment or add things to a favourites area. There is a good bonus though in the form of more non-exclusive DVDs in a theatre with lots of variety and choice.
But there are also lots of advertisements for other sites, which I always hate to see in a members' area Ive just paid to join. (Makes me feel like I am not wanted.) So you have those to deal with as well. And I would have liked better viewing options, there is just the one stream and you cant jump through it or else you will be sent back to the start of the clip again. There are links off to third party, up-sell, cam and dating sites and there is also a link to a third party support area if you need it.
There is a lot missing from Straight But Broke: apart from viewing options, interactive functions, downloads and information, there is nothing in any of the clips to suggest that the guys are broke, in need of money, or straight. There are though some hot looking straight-looking guys and there is a decent number of amateur, low quality, third party clips to view, and then content from several other similar sites. The updates also look good to this collection/network.
