It looks like Carlos Castings sprung up late in 2010, had a bit of a run during some of 2011 and then came to a halt. There are 12 scenes here, 12 galleries, and a set of very youthful, sexy guys on the casting couch. The idea is that Carlos, a young porn movie mogul, interviews and tests out other youthful twinks who want to be in his porn movies. They all have that horny Russian look, there are lots of hard cocks and some nice action, but not very much of it.
The most recent piece of content was added to the members area in September 2011, that's five months ago. The site is still advertising, and it is still charging a recurring membership, but it is clearly not updating at the moment. That's a shame as, although everything is basic here, it is also pretty hot to view. So you might well want to take out a one month membership and make use of the videos and pics, and then if nothing else has been added, cancel that membership and try somewhere else.
You are promised content at HD level on the tour and I found WMV files download to 1,280 x 720 running at 3,146 Kbps. You have to take clips though, there were no full scenes. Those clips ran for five minutes each and file sizes were often over 100 Mbs for a clip. The download speed was fine, around 209 Kbps, and there is a message on the video pages stating that you may need to download a codec in order to play the files. (I had no trouble with Windows Media Player in Windows 7.) But there is only this one choice for viewing. There are no streams, no choices of other files types to take, so it is a case of what you see is what you get, and what you get is not going to suit everyone.
But when you do get your files you find some very sweet boys appearing in the made-up, fantasy situations. It all revolves around the casting couch, and bed, and young Carlos does look a bit out of place in his office with his huge cigar and suit. I mean, who are they trying to fool here? There is no problem with the quality here, these are digital images and very collectable. Mind you, you will have to collect each one, one at a time, from its new window, which makes for clumsy image viewing.
Other sites from the same company are advertised at the bottom of pages, but you don't get to access them unless you sign up for them separately. And that means that 12 scenes and 12 galleries is your content count.
Apart from a title, a short write up, an upload date and some very basic information about movie formats, there is no other information at Carlos Castings. You are not, for example, told what is happening with the site or if any more updates are going to be made. You are not given a model index or model stats so you don't really know who you are watching. You might glean that the boys are (probably) Russian from their accents. I heard some talking in English but with a heavy accent, which was actually more than a bit sexy.
There are no interactive options either, so you cant rate or comment or get in touch with other members, and there are no social network sharing buttons even. Everything really is very simple and very basic and you have only the content to play with. And that is not offered in a choice of viewing file types, so that too is very simple.
The site is easy enough to navigate though. Mind you, galleries open up their solo pics in a new window per pic so you are always opening and closing; slideshows and zip file downloads would be really handy. All rather odd, but as I keep saying, all rather simple too.
