Carnal Plus is a new setup designed to give you low-cost access to nine sites from Carnal Media. With over 1,580 videos to stream and their images to view, there's plenty to see, and the content comes from well-known sites such as Gaycest and Boy For Sale. With a Carnal Plus membership, you have nine sites on offer for the standard price of one. At least, you do for the first month; the cost increases after that, but still to an affordable level. When you think what nine sites would cost you to join individually, you can see what value you're really getting. But that's only fine as long as you're keen to see those nine sites. So, what are they?
They're a mix. You have classic older and younger porn with Carnal's flagship site, Gaycest where naughty stepdads and uncles play the seduction game with their youthful stepsons and nephews. There's a definite leaning towards the taboo here, with young-looking guys like Austin Young being fucked hard and bareback by older 'dads.' Similarly, you have Boy For Sale, although the sex there is more stylised and ritualistic as boys are initiated into a Masonic order. The tables are turned at Twink Top, where it's the slim, dinky twinks who top the older, butch dads, but for more older into younger, and in this case, smaller, boys, then Fun-Size Boys is the collection to check out.
On the amateur front, you've got Amateurs Do It, a collection of duo scenes with guys doing their first porn shoot. You also have the guys from Jason Sparks Live and Bang Bang Boys, where there are solos mixed in with the hardcore, and then for pure bareback, there's raw Fuck Boys. You've got a choice. You can either view all videos in one set of index pages, or you can visit each site one at a time. They open in the same window, and there's no need to enter your password; just click one from the Sites list in the menu. If you do this, you might find it hard to get back to the Carnal Plus homepage, so I opened them in separate tabs. Either way, each video is presented in the same way, and although they are streaming only, there are decent viewing options.
You can select the speed you want to stream at and then the resolution. Videos are there at 1,920 x 1,080 HD, 720p and 854 x 480, and the streaming player comes with an auto-detect function, so it plays what's best for your connection speed, though you can always change that. Scenes run for 15 to 25 minutes depending on the content, some have stories and come in 'series' with chapters so you can follow a boy through his initiation, for example, and all are high-quality.
There are photos, and you find them on each scene's viewing page along with suggested scenes and links to the model's info. Images are at 1,620 x 1,080 or 1,620 x 900 px, and there are various numbers per set. Some may be screencaps, but they are good looking ones if they are, and you can save them one at a time. Slideshows are also offered, as are zip files if you want a whole set. They are mainly images from the action, rather than guys posing, and my only slight gripe was the large watermarks, although they were at the side of the photos, not over them.
I'm not sure when new content is being added. Carnal Plus only went live today, and so it's too soon to say. However, the movies come with dates along with their descriptions, and you find these on their viewing pages, so you can keep an eye. But, with over 1,584 movies already, you've got plenty to watch and a good value return on your investment.
Technically, Carnal Plus is fine, and you've got no navigation problems to worry about. I used the Sites drop-down to right click and open each new site in its own tab, so I didn't lose my main home page (not that it matters if you do, but I wanted to refer back to the complete list of videos from time to time). Each site/collection works in the same way with videos, series, and a model index where you can learn about some featured boys and find their links. There's also a category page with 68 different headings, and you use these as filters. There aren't any linked tag words on video pages, and there's only a simple search box, but the nine sites are clear about what they offer and are, in themselves, a kind of filter.
There aren't that many interactive options either. There are long descriptions of some scenes that are well written, and you can easily see titles and dates, but I didn't find any way to rate scenes or add them to a favourites area to save for later. Similarly, there is nowhere to leave comments. If you find any issues or have any problems, there are clear links to support and FAQ at the bottom of the pages, and best of all, there's no advertising, but there are bonus videos.
On top of 1,584 + Carnal scenes from nine sites, you've also got a set of 30 videos from Next Door Studios as a bonus. These come from Next Door Twink, Raw and Buddies, so they are on similar themes of bareback, youth and jocks. They are included whether you take a monthly membership or something more long-term. Currently, as an intro offer, the first month is offered at $29.84 (recurring at the usual price of $59.84). There are offers for three months at $79.95 for the first quarter (recurring at $159.95), and there's an offer for a year's membership at $174.50, which then rebills after that year at $59.84 per month. There are no cross-sales or hidden charges.
