There are many things to click and view on this site and the most important one is the access to the Bad Puppy Network where you will find years worth of gay porn, sites, feeds and content. As for the Big Apple side of things, well you have TV style shows and videos, stills from the shows, some porn videos, downloadable MPEG clips, blogs and links to all kind of other things in a magazine style layout.
So what is Big Gay Apple all about I hear you cry well, think of it as a wild and whacky, sexy and erotic TV station with all things gay covered in videos and interviews and blogs and links to this and that with the entire Bad Puppy network of sites thrown in and youll get a rough idea. At least thats how it looks to me on first glance at the tour area and, when I get to the members area it looks exactly the same so I could well be right.
Youll see the list of things to click and view on the right but the first thing to catch your eye will be the large images on the main part of the page that show you scenes from the shows, for want of a better world. To give you a rough idea of whats involved Im going to click some and see what we get.
O.k. so Ive gone straight for the cute Asian guy and a new window has appeared with some stills from the show and then after a further click I get to his streaming video. Nice musical soundtrack to go with it and a reasonable sized screen to view it on. Not too complicated so far. Next I click on a pic of two guys sucking and get to a new page with more stills from this show and a link to watch the video which takes me to a new site. I find myself in a tour area and theres no sign of the video. To access the site I have to sign up so Im dumping that idea and going back to where I was.
Scrolling down the page and finding other scenes at random I notice that I can watch the interviews and camp stuff, the TV kind of content, with no problem but several of the more interesting looking sexy videos are from the same site that I must join to enjoy. So I turn my attention to the right hand set of links and see what content is there. I am actually finding this rather confusing as there hasnt been anything to tell me exactly what kind of site this is nor what to expect. Unless Ive missed something obvious which is possible then Im kind of expected to know what the site is and what it does. But I have no idea so its a bit big headed of the site to assume that I do know. Anyway
Right hand menu: a direct link into Bad Puppy porn members area (see our separate review of this as theres too much in this site for me to explain it all over again); Join the newsletter; Videos ah ha! Now were getting somewhere. Or not, it is the same page as we were just on with some free and some links to a spanking site to join to view, back to the confusion. Carrying on Live guys pay to join the third party site that comes up, no thank you; Pay Per View theatre speaks for itself; links to a My Space page and other blog pages, not a bad blog but Im still having this what the hell is going on here? feeling. Next on the list is a store where you can buy tee shirts, shorts and stuff; A list of cruising grounds in the Big Apple (New York). Then we have some more blogs and links to other sites and then 14 categories of downloadable MPEGs ah ha, some more porn? Well, some short clips that are 320 x 240 in size and that you can download but not great quality and I think they are freebies from other sites so certainly not original. And thats the end of the list (apart from the legal stuff.)
So, Im still not too sure what Big Gay Apple TV is all about but what I can say is that it is stocked with loads of features and tings to click and, thankfully, it has a direct link into the Bad Puppy network so you have thousands of videos and pictures to view in various genres when you enter that part of the site.
I dont think Im being too dizzy about this: I just checked the tour pages again and there was nothing there to tell me what was going on. The pages are very basic in design with a white background and images over it with big text on either side. The links lead to various things, some to video clips, some to pictures, some to other sites that you have to sing up to in order to join and view the content, some to blogs and one to the BP members area and most of them open in new windows which is a bit annoying in this case as I was left not knowing exactly where I was and with about five windows open.
But the site does feature that entrance to BP and thats what its really about. Its a site where guys have got their favourite bits of porn, their blogs and stuff based in New York I guess and have bought into the Bad Puppy network, or how ever it works. So what I mean is that when you join this site youre actually joining the BP site but with the extra attraction of having the Big Apple guys bring you their video clips, TV style scenes and blogs.
I was confused as to what this site was all about and can only guess that its another way of selling memberships to the Bad Puppy site. Which in itself isnt bad as there is loads of entertainment and good quality content to be had there but you may already have bought in to it. The Big Apple stuff looks fun and daft with the interviews, and looks informative too with the other news items and the blog is entertaining. But I did get put off by not really knowing what was going on.
