Forget the Tube sites, you want a place that's your own, a place where you get daily updates, loads of hot amateur footage, and decent quality videos. You want a membership to 429, and you can get one by joining Self Shot BF Videos. This membership lets you in to 11 amateur movie sites that are all linked. They all work in a Tube style (adverts included, unfortunately) and in this case were looking at the one where hot guys video themselves, solo and together.
The idea with this content is that hot amateur guys make their own movies and then upload them to the site. But I rather think that the site goes out and finds amateur clips and buys them in, or copies them from Tube sites, maybe they even have some made especially for the site, as there are some clips here that look like professional scenes. There are some, in the network, that are clearly old porn movies. But generally speaking, we have a decent amount of amateur guy footage where that guy has filmed himself.
This means there's a fair amount of solos at Self Shot BF Videos and the BF means it's a kind of catch-all scenario. There are smooth young twinks in the shower, college guys by the PC, then there are older bears and some jocks, muscled guys, there are also black and Latino men as well as many all-American looking guys and Asians. You've got guys playing with toys and fucking themselves with their dildos, and you've also got couples together, some helping-hand videos, some guys who are straight and all kinds of men in the mix. It really is like having your own Tube site, with all the variety that comes with it.
Clips can be arranged by date and popularity, and they are shown with 24 per page across numbered index pages. The sample shots also carry the number of views and the rates. Click one you like the look of and you get to the viewing page. Viewing content is simple. There is a small stream screen a JW Player around 538 x 364 that will go full screen, and there's a x2 size to view as well; you click the screen to start the stream. There was also one download option and you need to right click and save from there. This was an Mp4 file and the ones I saw came down at 448 x 336 @ 815 kbps. These sizes and stats may vary of course, but I think the point is, the quality here is mid-range and can be varied. I didn't see anything too pixilated, but then I didn't see anything HD either.
Movies are also varied in runtimes. Some are around 30 minutes, and some look and sound like they are recordings of live chats; maybe not from professional chat rooms, but where a couple of guys have hooked up on Sykpe or something and recorded their session. Some are titled cute guy cums on webcam so that kind of gives you a clue. Others are short clips and then some have full scene porn movie appearance.
There are galleries to view as well, and you find these via a very small link at the top of the page (I almost missed it). There were 77 here, again all mixed and amateur with various numbers of self-shot shots per set, around 10 is a rough average. The quality varies, some are from cams and some from phones, and I found images up to 900 x 600 but the sizes do vary a great deal. It looks like these are all galleries of one guy and one session at a time, rather than being mixed galleries with all kinds of guys in each one. For bonus content you have the 10 other sites and a total of over 5,365 videos and over 1,427 galleries.
What I liked about the layout of Self Shot BF Videos was that it reminded me of one of the adult Tube sites. This made it easy to use and simple to handle, but what I didn't like were all the adverts. Again this are like the Tube sites that are free, so you have to wonder, as we've paid to join this members' area, why they then can't be more subtle with their advertising.
The index pages let you reorder the content by date and popularity etc. and you can also easily slip to any of the included sites. It's like the 429 members' area is one big site and these other sites are actually different areas or departments. They all run in the same way and look more or less the same.
Viewing pages give you the chance to comment and read what others have said, and you can cast your votes too. There's an add to favourites function to play with and you can make up your own profile. You will find linked tag words under the videos and also the name of the guy who uploaded it. You can then see if he's got any more, and the more you put on your profile, the more responses you will get. The only thing I wasn't sure how to do was to actually upload a video or gallery. But no doubt you can contact the site and find out how to do this.
Self Shot BF Videos comes from a technically fine network of hot amateur self-submit sites. There are over 5,300 videos in the network, this site alone has 201 and adds more every other day or so, and there are daily updates to the network. There are galleries too, simple viewing and though the quality is mixed, as it always is with real home footage, it's usually watchable and not too bad. You can stream and download and there's plenty to see for a decent price.
