You’re going to be thrilled to learn that Pride Flame comes to us from the makers of Badpuppy and Bear Films, and has over 4,000 videos up its combined sleeve waiting for you right now. These are a mix of daddy, bear, hunk, and twink movies, and they come with photos. These are drawn from eight channels, and you can access them individually or together. It may be another simple collection of existing work, but one membership here costs less than eight memberships elsewhere.
Here’s a thing. Back in 1995, Badpuppy was one of the first gay membership sites to hit our screens, making it 31 years old this year, and it is still going strong. I remember the early days of linked websites, videos, galleries, stories, and all manner of other content, and all of it being confused and difficult to follow, but then those were the very early days. Now, you simply sign up and log in, and you've got a Channels lists showing you the eight sites you can access content from. Included in your membership is content from Badpuppy, Bareback That Hole, Bear Films, Daddy on Twink, Hairy and Raw, Southern Strokes, Touch That Boy, and Twinks in Shorts.
You can, of course, view the combined video list of 4,400 + titles. A new one is added every couple of days, and there are large sample trailers to show you who is in each scene. The front page, during my visit, showed me bears together, cute, young twinks in solos and in pairs, older daddies and their boys, some solos, massage videos, bareback, some chubbies, and some interracial action, though mostly, I was looking at white guys from 18 to 40 plus. Among all that you have some classic studio set-up videos, some reality ones filmed outside and in public spaces, some with a vague storyline, but always, with loads of hot sex. Some of the channels focus on bareback sex, while others, and older movies, contain condom sex.
The scenes run for various lengths of time. Some, the solos, are around 15 minutes, and others are a standard 25 to 35, while there are some longer ones. They are offered as streams and as Mp4 downloads, and downloading is easy to achieve and, as far as I can see, unrestricted. The trouble is, some of these movies are over 25 years old, and the up-mastered reproductions of lower-res movies don’t give the best results, and look grainy. The same applies to downloads, but then, we are looking at very old scenes. Don't despair, though, because there are plenty – thousands – of others that are genuine HD and look perfect. The HD is only 1080p, and I didn’t find any 4K, but still; they were fine for streaming and played well after downloading.
Not a lot of viewing choices then, but plenty of variety in the movies themselves. There’s not a lot of info about them, other than the studio and model names, and there’s no info about the guys in the model index either, only stats. You'll find over 3,000 guys in the listings, and with no details, you have nothing to go by except their names. Some of these suggest Eastern European countries, others could form anywhere but are most likely from the USA, as that’s where the sites/channels are put together, and most of the guys are amateur models who may have only made one video, or appeared in one reality video by chance.
The membership also comes with a set of 2,200 + solo photos. Here, you find a random collection of solo work from the guys, some galleries with only a few pics, others with lots more. Images are shown at different sizes, according to when they were shot and by whom, but you can find images at 1,920 x 1,080 px and 2,471 x 3,707 px, and movies and their photo galleries are linked. You can also easily find the images from their own place in the menu.
You may have gathered that things are very simple here at Pride Flame. You have videos, galleries, models and then links to the usual cam and chat sites, but these are not included. On the one hand, navigation is simple, but on the other, detailed searching is limited. There is a search box, but no category list. You can only filter by site, and you can’t arrange the full content in any way other than the date order in which is it shown. The video and photo index pages are blank apart from the large thumbnails, but these have a few tag words to click. These tend to focus on hair colour and whether the models have tattoos, but there are also some action tag words, such as ‘fingering’ to use, and filtered results appear quickly. Once you have done this, you will then find a full page of tag words which helps your searching, but which is still limited.
Interaction is also limited to offering star ratings for content and models. There are no comments, but you can use a heart icon as an ‘add to favourites’ function and create your personal store of videos to see again. You then access these from the top menu. The site is basic, but it all works. If you have any issues, the support link is at the bottom of the pages.
Access to Pride Flame is currently available at special rates because the site is a new collection, and the first month will cost you $19.99. However, this recurs at $39.95 per month (remember you are getting eight sites). There’s an annual membership which is cheaper in the long run at $150.00 per year, or a lifetime option at $400.00 with you never having to pay again. The good news is that there are no hidden charges and no cross sale to worry about when you sign up.
The content at Price Flame is good and offers bear, daddy and twink films, with the daddy and twink niches combining to form much older/younger content. However, none of it is exclusive, and it all comes from pre-existing sites, so the benefit of the membership is your ability to own content from these eight sites without paying for eight memberships. More interactive features would be good, as would more attention to the details of the models’ backgrounds and movies, etc., but it still remains a decent stock of bear/twink porn.
