Once upon a time, there was this front-runner studio pumping out hardcore bareback and raising eyebrows. Now, we have an archive of those videos, with some new ones added and a lot of older content stored and returned to the top of the list, and Hot Deseret Knights is its name. HDK offers you hardcore, bareback, fisting, solo, waterspouts and leathery sling-sex videos with hunky hairy guys, images too, and loads of feeds. It's classic content for a low price.
Hot Desert Knights is famed for its guys, and it's steamy, raunchy, bareback sex scenes. The guys are usually muscular and fit daddies in their 40s, hairy jocks in their 30s, some tight twinks, but mainly hardcore guys into ass banging with no rubbers. A few years ago, it was one of the few sites to do this, and its accent on bareback did cause concerns. Now, loads of sites are doing bareback, and it's nothing edgy, but the action at HDK stays hard and hot and involves some fetish action that still manages to raise an eyebrow and easily raises your dick.
The guys are a mix of older muscled men, studly guys, your classic daddies and jocks, and they are still fit and varied, and a mix of amateurs and professionals. Some top guys have made their name with this company; Steve Hurley, TitPig and Ben Archer, for example, though I was hard-pressed to recognise anyone on the video pages for recent updates. There's still a great number of them, with 446 guys listed in the model index but loads more appearing in the movies.
There were 2,051 hardcore and solo videos when I called in. You see them on the updates page where you can filter videos from galleries, and where the sample shots are skewed squares, apparently not quite fitting their pace holders and looking a bit odd. They give you a title, sometimes the name of the model if a solo, and they lead to a basic viewing page that comes with a description. Here is where you start to see some of the issues which dog the site. There is only one file to stream, in Flash and you will need the correct version, and there is one WMV download. A while ago, the site also offered Mp4 files for mobiles, and the tour may still tell you that these are available. They aren't, not right now, and you're left with only WMV at 720 x 404 @ 1,000 kbps. That was the resolution of the one I downloaded first, others are at 640 x 480 @ 1,600 kbps.
The filming quality of the scenes is fine; they are standard studio productions, often starting straight in at the sex, and often with no story. A couple of guys are discovered in the shower, they suck, they fuck bareback, they cum. Others are heavier S&M style, slings and fuck pig, S & M, orgies, loads of naked guys fucking bareback and jizz everywhere and some are solos. The visual quality is okay, but at 640 x 480 as the general size, full screen isn't great, and the movies can be somewhat 'old' looking. I've read that HDK rotates their content and some of what's added twice per week may be from the past moved to the front if you see what I mean. Still, the site does say it is an archive, and so that's what we must expect.
There are currently 1,500 galleries, and each one has its own number of photos at sizes around 800 x 1,200 px. You can run slideshows here and view images one at a time; I was not able to save them one at a time though, not without downloading the whole file of the HTML page, and there were no zip files, Again, they tend to show action rather than posed before and after shots, but the quality is fine and there are plenty of them.
There are some issues with the content. For a start, much of it seems to be rotated from the past and brought forward, and there is only the one file for viewing. There are descriptions, but when you head to the model index to check out the guys, there are large blank pages with no info. Your bonus content consists of a long page of feed movies from Treasure Island Media and others, and in your other bonus area, a large set of screensavers and wallpapers you can save and use on your PC.
Thanks to the lack of Mp4 files, the site is not very phone-friendly. It's also a bit outdated in design, and many of the images and their place holders appear squashed; you may need to adjust your screen resolution or size. I got the feeling that the site is there and chugging along, but not really being tended to. It's got an old-fashioned feel that I like but shows signs of not having caught up with the times. It remains though, a good archive and easy enough to navigate.
The top menu takes you to the content, the up to date blog and some extras, and the index pages are numbered making it easy to browse through the whole collection., This can be fileted according to videos/galleries, there is a drop-down category list for filtering, content comes with upload dates, linked tag words, and there is a schedule page (empty). Members can leave comments on content, though I didn't see any.
As everything else in the members' area struck me as simple and, tbh, rather old fashioned, I wasn't surprised to see there was only one sign up price. $9.95 per month for access to the archive and all the feeds and bonus bits and pieces. That's' a fair price for an archive, there were no hidden charges and I didn't feel ripped off.
I guess you have to remember that this is an archive and it seems to be stuck in the past in terms of design and playback. No Mp4, WMV only and content that seems to come from the back of the queue and gets posted as a new update. There are a couple of updates per week, a massive stock of classic bareback porn from the previous masters of the genre, and reasonable quality, but not HD. It's a cute and cheap flashback to the early days of bareback, and though not dazzling, still good to see.
