Collin ONeil brings you excellent videos and high quality images from his travels around the world. First of all you should know who Collin is: he is a well put together hunk of a guy who is a porn star and porn producer. His site dates back to May 2006 and his mission is to travel parts of the world finding, filming and sometimes fucking gorgeous hunks from Latin America, the Middle East and Europe. In March 2007 he won a GAYVN award for the best pro-amateur scene, one of his three-way movies involving himself, Francois Sagat and a Middle Eastern blacksmith who is also a body builder. That should give you a rough idea of what to expect when you join his site.
Working through the members area I started with the Models index as it was first on the easy to use left hand menu. There were 45 guys featured here in alphabetical order, each one as sexy as the one before. I looked at Jacko, that blacksmith, and found his details. Collin found him in Syria, hes a tanned and muscled young stud with a great cut cock. His personal page gave me a little write up and links to his videos and images. The videos are DRM protected by Pistol Media so you will only be able to download them after entering your access details and you will only be able to keep and play them for as long as these details are current. In other words only members of the site can view them and you cant keep them once and if you cancel your membership. But its unlikely that you will want to do that anyway as there are so many great movies here, regular updates and access to other sites which I will talk about later.
Meanwhile the movie details: they play in Windows Media Player and Flash player and you have a drop down list that gives you a choice of speeds: from 38k WMV to 700k WMV and 38k to 768k in Flash. You can right click the download button to save the file to your hard drive or click the play now button to stream the movie in an on-screen player. The screen size depends on what speed you have selected. There was a certain amount of starting and stopping on the higher quality versions until the buffering was complete but then it ran with no problems. The sound track was good with atmospheric and appropriate music and there were establishing shots at the start to get us into the feel of the location, in this case an outdoor location in Syria.
There were 35 movies in total, each running for a decent length of time (around 20 minutes) and each featuring muscled hard bodied studs. The viewing options were the same for each there were no choice of qualities or file sizes on the downloads but with files at around 100 MBs you shouldnt have too much trouble. Even if youre on a dial up connection it will be worth the wait.
There were 37 image sets too, each with a write up and a thumbnail that linked to the galleries. Each gallery had a varying amount of pages with an average 12 pics per page. The full sized pics were 900 x 675 and you can either click them individually or, after clicking one, run a slideshow in five different speeds. The images appeared to me to be digital, high quality, well focused and professionally taken. None of that naff screen shot business here, its quality all the way.
Just to mention the guys again, in case you havent got the message: they are from those parts of the world I mentioned before and its refreshing to see guys from places like the Lebanon and Syria taking part in gay movies. Particularly when they are as hunky as this lot and the videos are so well made. The editing is good, some movies have a build up while others jump straight in to the action. All in all the content, though not huge in terms of quantity as yet, is fantastic in quality.
There is something on the site called travelling with Collin. Click this and a map of the world appears with locations around the Middle East highlighted with orange circles. Whats this all about, I wondered as I sat and looked at it. I clicked it but nothing happened, double clicked and still nothing so I right clicked. It was a Flash Player 9 file of some sort and I checked my settings and checked allow not really sure of what I was doing, but still nothing happened. I refreshed the page and now noticed a yellow box. I clicked this quickly and hooray! A new screen with a great slide show of Collin travelling in Turkey. (Other locations are marked by those orange circles.) A neat soundtrack with local pop music played as I watched him in all parts of the country. There were navigation buttons so I could advance the images without having to wait, most images had a text description beside them and it was a bit like watching someones holiday snaps, except much better quality and with the emphasis on capturing local hunks and sexy guys, dressed, semi-dressed and in the Hamam and saunas. Fantastic photography presented with fade in and out features and a smoothly changing screen great stuff once you figure out how to start it! Actually I liked the soundtrack so much I left it running as I went back to look at the rest of the site.
Collin also has a blog that you can access. This dates back to the start of his erotic adventures and makes for interesting reading. He supplies you with images here too so you can see who and what he is talking about. There were some more nice travel shots here featuring the sexy Collin and the guys he meets along the way. The blog was a couple of months out of date but explained that he was away travelling, hopefully making more hot videos. There is also a calendar featured on the site and the last note on it was from a couple of months back which reinforced my impression that Collin hadnt been around for a while.
At the top of each page youll find a drop down search list that lists various parts of the world, click on one and any movies featuring guys from that country will appear on your screen. That was the only search option I could find but its a handy tool. The only other features are a link over to a DVD store where you can buy gay DVDs, a page where you can join the mailing list and an application form. Oh yes, if you think you have what it takes to play with Collin then fill out the form and see what comes back. Its quite detailed and you will need to submit some photos to prove you have the right build, ability and sex appeal.
I found the member support pages on the main home page and there is a link to billing support here too.
