There are lots of these reality, straight goes gay, sites around and more and more are joining the collection all the time. Whats good about Desperate Straight Guys is that they use good looking and straight acting guys as their models. They have exclusive videos, these come with galleries and you also have downloads as well as streams. The quality is good, there are updates happening and the overall quality is fine. At the heart of it all are the horny guys who appear in the videos.
When I was looking around the site for you I found 112 guys in this model index (not all of them had a face pic though), and they were a good looking and varied bunch. There's not a lot of information about them but they do have links to their scenes. There were 75 scenes on the site and the earliest one was dated less than 12 months back, which suggests there is a very good update schedule. The tour promises weekly updates and it looks like that particular promise is being kept to.
The movies are simple. You find one you want from the Updates page and then click the image to get to the viewing page. These are all the same, with a stream at the top and screen-cap images to enlarge beneath it. When you open an image the stream automatically pauses for you. You can click the stream to full screen without any loss of quality and you have download options to the left in a column. This column is where all your details are kept. You find, usually, one download option, a good quality Mp4, and some details about the scene, there are also descriptions of it as introductions and some interactive options. Movies came out at around 852 x 480 in size and up to 4,000 kbps for speed. The screen caps were, at best, 600 x 400 and reasonable quality.
I found that the scenes played out fine, with good and natural performances from the guys, and that these guys will do anything for the cameras, so you get a nice variety of action, as well as of models. What I didn't find too much of was talking and so I ask the question, how do we know that these are straight guys doing gay sex for pay like the tour pages suggest? There are some exchanges, but not many, and the guys do look and act straight, but even so, a bit more of an introduction would be good so we could at least make up our own mid as to their sexuality, that is, after all, the main drive of the site.
But for variety, you do well. There is actually a category page so you can select groups of videos and the various categories give you a good idea of the variety you can expect: Auto fellatio, fucking, face, feet, tattoos and toys are all included. Click one of the sample pics to find the collection for that category.
Desperate Straight Guys is a relatively small site that has basic viewing and download options only. There was nothing complicated with the viewing but then there were no clips or parts to take and so you have only the one file choice when you want to keep a film. The galleries too are pretty basic and there was no extra content. What there was a lot of were adverts for other sites and even a menu link to Network Sites which made me go in search of bonuses. But although there are images from various other sites and links to them, there is no network access (so these are not then network sites, surely?). What you have are links to the join pages for some other hardcore sites of interest.
That's my main gripe with the site: there are far too many adverts and too much space is used up in trying to get us to another sign up. If you are going to use the word Network then it should be for a network members can use and enjoy, not for advertising and up-selling of other products. There are many images on pages as well, and these too are adverts.
But the site is mildly interactive so you could always make a public comment about this. You will find comments with videos on their pages, in that left column, where you can also rate the scenes and download the zip flues of all images per scene.
There is also a link to members' chat where you can, in theory, link up with other browsing members and have an online chat as you go around the site. A neat interactive function this, if it works. When I tried it I only managed to find a new tab with a blank screen; maybe I needed a plug in but there was nothing to tell me what to do. If you sort through the links to third party up-sells and trusted partners you may also find a link to customer support though, so you can always ask. There is a feedback area (up at the top near your favourites collection, another nice interactive option) but this is really a survey and it is geared towards getting nice comments, there should be a pace for us to write any other comments we have.
But, everything works fine here and the site looks good, even though it is a bit basic to use.
The strength of Desperate Straight Guys comes from the models who all look amateur and natural, and pretty horny. But I found I wanted more talk and a chance to find out not only who these guys are but some way of knowing they were straight. At the moment the scenes are about two guys having sex and the theme, the reality of the straight goes gay is completely missing. There are also too many adverts and up-sells and misleading use of Network, though it's not promised on the tour.
