The idea behind this gay reality site is that guys get tricked into having gay sex. I have to tell you that Gay Snare is not a very large site, but it's still got some neat videos to view and download. Your bonus sites, though mainly straight themed, do include two other gay sites, so you're getting a decent package overall. Check into Gay Snare though and you find three pages of updates showing nine movies in total. These all take the same theme, with good looking, amateur guys playing out similar scenarios: a husband is tricked into having gay sex, or a straight stranger meets a girl who takes him home and blindfolds him and then he gets blown buy a guy, the blindfold comes off and the sex carries on. We've seen similar stuff in other sites, but the thing still works for me.
The movies are set out on the index pages neatly with good sample shots and a description. They all said that they were uploaded today, which can't be right and when I checked an older review, from last year, there had been more episodes then that there were now, which kind of makes me thing the site is not updating, even though it shows three episodes coming soon. Either that or it has just been re-vamped. But you can keep an eye on that when you sign in and you will also be able to check out any updates that come along on the bonus sites.
The quality is great here, I have no complaints about that. The image for the video is very clear, the stream worked nice and fast even when I was downloading a file, and the scene was well played out. There was only one choice for streaming but there were four download options with WMV at 1,920 x 1,080 @ 6,000 kbps at the top end of the scale, a couple of mid-range resolutions in DivX and WMV and then a mobile suitable one in MP4 at 480 x 270. There should be something to suit everyone here, though these are full scene files with no clips or parts to take so some files may be large. Movies run for around 25 minutes on average.
They also come with galleries of photos. You find these on the same viewing page and they open up in the same window to large pages of thumbnails. They take you right through the action and I guess you might call them screen caps, though they are from the HD camera (if they are screen caps) and so are up at good sizes, 800 x 1,200 for example, where they are clear and sharp. You can take each set as a zip file though you do have to open each image one at a time in a new tab, so to browse through a whole gallery will take a long time. Mind you, the thumbnails are big enough to show you whats going on and so you can use them to see how a scene unfolds.
And now I guess you are wondering if the action here is real or is it faked? Well, you really need to go and see for yourself and make up your own mind. I reckon it's a bit of both and if it is faked/staged, then it's done very well. You lose yourself in the fantasy either way so it doesn't really matter, though subtitles would help.

Where a model appears in another scene in the site or network, this is shown on the video viewing pages so you can easily click over and see what else he has appeared in, this helps navigation.
But navigation generally is not an issue, the index pages are clearly marked and there are only three of them. You've got a few top menu items, one of which tells you when the next exclusive updates are coming along, and it looked like they were weekly though every available scene stated that it had been uploaded today. You've got a link to support and then a list of the bonus sites on another page.
And that's it really: easy navigation apart from solo pics opening in new tabs, which is not too much of an issue, there are zip downloads, easy access to movies and galleries, the pages are clear and uncluttered and there were no technical issues. Watch out for pre-checked cross sales on the sign up pages and you'll do fine.
My only concerns here were the low number of scenes, nine in total, and the upload schedule which stated everything had been uploaded on the day of my visit, and the total number of scenes was less than last year. The quality is excellent, the fantasy is well played out, the guys are cute and hot amateur and straight acting, and there are good download options. The site is neatly designed, there are two other gay bonus sites included and I had a good time during my visit.
