Just as the site tells us, there are no gimmicks here, just sex. We are also told that the site is trying something new, hence the choice for signups. You can become a monthly member for a decently low recurring fee, or you can register for free and purchase movies one at a time. They've cut out the intros, so no interviews, they've cut out the gimmicks, so no one pretends to be straight, broke or curious and no one gets picked up in a van. You simply get amateur guys jerking off or balling.
There were just over 500 scenes when I called into the site and these were all easy to find thanks to the simple navigation menu. They were all stream only in a Flash screen that was at around 960 x 540 in size. The site offers you a mix of solos and action scenes, and it lists them all on index pages with simple thumbnails and titles. Click one and you come to the viewing page.
These viewing pages are nicely designed, as is the rest of the site, and they show you the upload date. You will find a note inviting you to come back each week for a new update and when I checked through the site it had been keeping to its update promise. Beneath each streaming screen is a set of images, when clicked these enlarge to 640 x 360 in size and they act more as a guide to how the action will unfold than to anything else.
True to its tour promises, Guy Bone gives you solo scenes at 10 minutes each and action scenes at 20 minutes. There is no messing around. The guys, in a solo, will start off clothed and then strip and play, and the guys in the action scenes start off at the kiss and undress stage. You don't spend your money on scenery here, there are no build-ups or storylines, other than the natural sexual build up and the story is always the same: one or two guys get off solo or together. Again, exactly as promised.
The filming was hand-held and the sound natural. You move around the models as they work and you get a genuine, reality atmosphere. There is editing, that's so that the movies keep to their runtimes, but nothing is lost in the editing and the progressions are quite natural. The resolution that's been chosen for you is good too, in that the scene started straight away and the buffering was ahead all the time so I didn't suffer any pauses. I am on a mid-range to low connection and it was fine for me. The quality at full screen was ok too, not totally glamorous and there is a mention of HD, but I'm not sure that these are your top of the range HD, but they played fine for me.
And as for the guys, they are natural, amateur and varied. You've got younger and older, rougher and smoother, tattoos, shaved guys, skinheads, truckers, workmen, twinks and jocks, and guys next door. It's a real mix of all kinds of ordinary gay guys getting off together. Nice and simple and with no frills. There are over 450 guys in the model index and each one has stats and links to his videos. There are no search or filter options on the model index (or videos) though so you have to click through each index page to see exactly who is here.
But, all in all, you get whats promised. I'm not sure about paying $2.99 per movie though, especially as you can only stream them, so my advice would be to go for a recurring membership and then you can watch these hot, amateur scenes whenever you fancy them.
Once you have arrived at the home page and clicked one of the four large images which serve as the starter menu, navigation is by way of a side menu where you find links to the movies, models, home, a links page, your account area, and support/FAQ. There is also a box featuring what is coming soon and the dates listed here ran an impressive 12 weeks ahead of the days date. All pages and photos open in the same window, with photos floating, so there is no chance of getting lost or running into trouble. The site is also nicely designed and has a dark background which brings out the images and movies.
I did have a couple of strange things going on. I am convinced these are to do with the browsers I was using rather than being a fault of the site but: Some movies could not be found when I was using Firefox, so if you have that problem (and you will get a message in the Flash streamer saying the file cant be found) then use IE or try something else. But when I was in IE I found that the content index pages were below the left menu, and to the right of the left menu was only black space. The site looked better in Firefox, but there the movies didn't play.
And I know we are going for the basics here with no gimmicks, but a few interactive options would be nice for members. Like a search engine so you can search and filter the kinds of guys by, for example, age or body type. That would assist with finding content you want to see and you wouldn't have to click through all the index pages. And Id also like the standard favourites function, add comments and rates. But if you're happy without these things, then you'll be fine and the fact that they are not here should not put you off viewing the members area.
Guy Bone does exactly what it says it will do on its tour: it gives you non nonsense, exclusive, amateur guys in solo and action porn scenes that are naturally played out and well filmed. It doesn't give you anything else though, only a few images, no extras and no interactive options. But it is decent quality, it stays with the update schedule and it's easy enough to use. Good and solid, simple and straightforward porn, just as you like it.
