Maverick Men Directs sees the famous Maverick Men, Cole and Hunter, in the director’s chair, telling a range of other guys what to do. Of course, they’re telling them how to shoot a hardcore sex scene, and they’ve got a variety of guys in to take the leads. This couple of bears know what it takes to perform in front of the cameras, and now they show us how they do it from behind, as it were. It’s a simple site with exclusive content available for streaming-only viewing.
Where Maverick Men is about Cole and Hunter, Maverick Men Directs is about other guys directed by them. This means we have more of a range of models, and these guys are mainly amateurs, and first-timers, but there are some porn regulars in the mix too. Sadly, there’s no model index, so we don't find out anything about them, and there is very little information attached to the videos either. In fact, as you browse the members’ area menu, you see Full Videos, Join (you already have), Contact, Cams, Favourites and Log Out, so there’s very little to see other than the 179 videos.
So, to give you an idea of the variety of men, you have to take the video sample shots as your guide. Amateur guys, yes, hung and ordinary, yes, twinks – a few. Dark-skinned Middle-Eastern guys appear occasionally, as do Latinos, and there are plenty of white men of all ages, plus a few ebony guys in interracial scenes. As for shapes and sizes, they are usually fit or trim, though not necessarily muscled, and there are a few chubs as well. The age range looks to be from early 20s to 40 or so, and you have smooth men, tattooed guys, furry bears and jocks. So, plenty of variety among the cast.
As there is among the action. There are plenty of duo scenes here, some with a kinky bent, some gagging and harness play, but mainly, it’s real-man, manly sex all the way, with the scenes being about the sex, not the setup or story. You’ll find titles that speak for themselves such as, ‘Fuck me in the Toolshed,’ ‘Flip Fucking Twinks,’ and ‘Fucked by my Secret Crush,’ so it’s pretty obvious stuff and not complicated. A glance through the sample shots shows us loads of cock sucking and bareback anal penetration, cum shots, facials and creampies, some flaccid pre-shoot moments with heavy, flaccid cocks, both cut and uncut, and shots depicting threesomes, rimming and even bunny play. Again, there is plenty of variety.
The 179 movies are there for streaming only, and you have a choice of full-streaming membership or not, which I’ll tell you about below. The video player shows the default resolution at 770 x 432, and that’s it; there are no other options for streaming other than going to full-screen size, where the movies aren’t the best of qualities, but are good enough. Scenes run for an average length of time at around 20 to 40 minutes and come with a brief description.
They also come with a few screencaps at 800 x 450 px or 800 x 600 px, and you can take these one at a time. There are around 15 per set, but no zip files or slideshows. Like everything else, they are simple to view, and the quality is average.
There’s not a lot else to tell you about the content at Maverick Men Directs. It’s fine, it’s different and exclusive, though viewing is restricted, quality levels are not that high (in terms of playback), and it has a good, amateur feel to it. There are no extras or bonus sites attached, and there had only been two updates in the seven months before my visit.
As mentioned, the members’ area is simple, and your main tool is the link to the full videos. These are neatly displayed with a large sample shot, the number of views, the upload date and the title. There are no ways to search the content apart from a keyword search box, and there are no ways to rearrange the index pages or content either, though the pages are clearly numbered.
Head to a video viewing page and you find the streaming screen, the descriptions and screencaps, plus a few basic interactive options such as rates and add to favourites. You then find your favourite collection in the main menu. You can, as a member, leave comments on each scene. Should you need to contact anyone, there are also clear contact links, and the simple members’ area gives you no technical issues.
As for signing up, you have a few options. You can take an unlimited streaming membership at $19.95 per month, recurring, or you can sign up for two packages of limited-time streaming, with 200 minutes costing $29.95, and 400 minutes costing $49.95. You can sign up with a credit card or PayPal, but watch out for the cross-sales on the details page.
The strength of Maverick Men Directs is the variety of guys, the naturalness of the action, and the fact that the content is exclusive. It’s a simple site with not very much to offer apart from 179 videos and a variety of guys, but it’s also an easy one to use once signed up. The content is streaming only with no way to download, and updates, of late, have been faltering at best. Stay with it though, as these guys know what they are doing, and what they do, they do well.
