Barely Twinks comes to you from the Gay Star Network, and that means you get to access all their twink and jock sites when you sign up. That's just as well as BT hasn't updated for ages and there's no news as to when more of their hot episodes are going to be added. You've got a fairly standard twink set up here with exclusive vids and pics, great looking and sexy younger models and plenty of download options. The interactive features are perfect and the new-look site is sleek and special.
You will find 50 videos with clips, full scenes, screen cap galleries and trailers when you log in but these are the same 50 as you would have found 18 months ago. I'm not sure what's happening here as I thought BT was one of the biggest and best twink sites around. It probably still is when you consider all the other twink content available with your membership, but it's certainly not adding anything new. This means that some of our stars are now going to be jocks and even studs as they have grown up and moved on but some of them also now have their own personal sites and you can also access these.
So think of your membership as gaining you access to a whole heap of twink sites rather than just this one. Some of the content here can be found on some of the other sites too, so this is more an amalgamation of the best of the best. This means you're going to get star twink names (Melrose, Vance, Steel et al.) in older scenes, but good ones. You can stream or download these in various players, in clips, in full files, and in three formats so no excuses for not being able to grab a movie or two.
You're also going to find decent screen cap galleries that take you through the action, and you're going to have a great time checking out the other twink sites. The content is all well made, the makers have their eyes on quality, the pages load nice and fast and the galleries are well stocked. I'm kind of trying to think of something new to say about what is essentially another twink site, with hardcore and solos, various guys, smooth bodies and hardcore sex. But Barely Twinks comes across as simply just another twink site - though with some top names and performers in it. What makes the content special (apart from the boys) is the quality of productions. We only wish there was more of them and that we were told when more may be added.
So, a basic collection of strip and fuck scenes, certainly hot enough, and then access to loads more content in your bonuses. Not to be sniffed at but to be viewed, enjoyed and collected.
Since its revamp, this site and the others in the collection, have got a new look and it's one of the best and most interactive set ups we've seen in a long time. Taking a Tube style approach the site now provides you with more get involved options than you could wish for. You can do the usual things like rate and comment, add to favorites and so on, but you can also up things to you social networking sites, email friends, give the boys a thumbs up, change their rankings, add your own tags and so on and so on. It's a great arrangement of interactive options and makes the network fun to use. You really feel like you're getting involved with your membership site here, and not that many sites let you do this.
The pages are well laid out to so even with all these extras and things to click you don't get swamped down. You do have a static top menu that will take you to the photos and vids, each video has a set of tabs for its own extras, like the trailers, and each page opens nice and quickly. You have a set of over 130 DVDs to view, various categories and non-exclusive, but masses of scenes. You have a set of bonus sites to explore and these tend to stay on the twink theme with some studs and solos in there too. And you have a model index where the boys are ranked. Each time you give one a vote you affect his ranking, and though you don't get many stats or much information you do get cross-links to each little angels appearances.
It's a well designed and well thought out site then, and navigation is not a problem, there is help and support if needed but I doubt you'll have to use that function.
Rather static at the moment but with a decent collection of twink hardcore, mainly taken from the other sites in the network perhaps? Look upon joining Barely Twinks as a cheap way in to a top class network that features famous twink stars, some hunks and jocks, loads of extras and exclusive movies and galleries and you'll be fine. There isn't much at BT at the moment and no update news, but it's a great portal into twink porn heaven from a top network.
