Finding a new spin on Twink sites is a very hard thing to do. Here you've got a site from a company that has a few twink sites, and they are all pretty similar, and this one isn't that much different from any other twink site. Except that some of the content and some of the models are exclusive to the company, so they are fresh and original, which is always good to see. You've got movies, galleries, stories, three bonus sites and some recommendations to check out.
There are two main areas to Twinks Fun, their own exclusives with over 60 photo sets and around 200 movies, and a retro area with many more pics and a set of Mpeg video clips. There are also stories, and there are many of them, and members can also submit their own stories, three bonus sites and links to the Gay Perfect blog, which seems to be rather out of date. So there's enough content to justify the membership fee, and it looks like updates are regular.
When you come to view your videos you find a very simple process. You've got sample pics on the index pages, click one and there you have the movies viewing page. This has to be one of the simplest set-ups I've seen in a long while. Whereas other sites will give you choices to stream, to download, and often have various player formats and resolutions to choose from, and even whole scene files to save, here you have only one option. That is, to download each part of the scene in WMV format. So, not many options, no descriptions and no guidelines apart from a contact link should you have trouble playing them.
But when you do get them, you get the promised twinks and the hardcore, or solos, and there are plenty of young and smooth boys in all kinds of situations to enjoy. Those situations predictably feature a progression of kiss, strip, suck and fuck with yummy cum shots, but the filming is good, the quality is fine and the boys do well. Most of them perform naturally, and, for standard twink sex movies these are sitting there in the middle of the road, all well and good category. I certainly enjoyed the ones I saw, and Id not seen them before. (Movies played at 1.86Mbps @ 720 x 480 in size.)
The older movies, the retro collection, come in MPEG format, again in clips with advice on what you will need installed to view them. There were 45 of these older movies, and non-exclusive ones I guess, and they were spilt up into short clips at 2MBs each; quick and simple to view as long as you have the right player, or if you go and get it for free, and no problem at all, though not sparkling quality.
The image galleries are arranged on index pages with decent sized sample pics and titles, which are usually the names of the boys appearing. Basic thumbnail pages lead you to the full size images which opened up to 768 x 1024 in size, were a good quality and were downloadable. But only one by one, this site is very short on interactive options as we will see later. Again the galleries are a mix of solos and hardcore and are a decent quality.
So, a goodly amount of original movies with new boys you shouldn't have seen before, a nice set of images and the retro section for even more twink porn. Standard stuff served up in a very simple way.
And it is that simplicity which makes the site feel rather empty. Yes, it directs you to the content rather to frills and spills, but it seems that there is something missing. I can think of a lot of things that many sites have that you don't find here, but I should say that these are not necessary they simply enhance a site. Things like a model index with details about the boys, that shows you that the site takes time and trouble, and it's a great way to find the content featuring the guy you like the most. There is no way you can get involved here, there are no rates or comments boxes, and there is very little information generally. On the one had this keeps things simple but on the other you feel as if the site doesn't really care about what its members think.
The design, though a bit garish, is also nice and simple, and has a permanent top banner which is your link back to home if there are no other links on a page. The home page is set out well showing you everything you have access to in one go, and you simply click an image to find your pics, vids, stories etc. Update news is posted on the home page, at the top in simple fashion, and the links to your bonus sites and suggested extras are also there.
Navigation, then, is easy enough and the pages load nice and fast, I only saw one missing image box, in the retro section, and everything else worked just fine.
I'd have to conclude that Twinks Fun hits its target with its twink content and I like the retro department with its older pics and vids. I also like the stories, though they could be displayed better, and the bonus sites add extra value for money. What it lacks in inventiveness and interactivity it just about makes up for in quality and the horniness of its main stars.
