This site is a collection of gay movies cut into scenes that you can download or view on line. You get two choices of quality for each and there are around 294 movies to view in scenes. This gay area is part of a larger site that contains many more straight movies but you can avoid them. You also have some feed sites with movies and image galleries, there is a basic menu and links to a Video On Demand site.
Gay All Axxxess is a collection of gay porn movies that you can watch on line or download. They promise you high resolution DVD quality movies and more are added each day, apparently. You can stream or view as many as you want as long as you stay a member and there are a couple of viewing options, which we will talk abut later. I have entered in on the home page where there is a welcome message, a navigation menu, a list of whats top and many images of scenes from some of the movies available.
Starting with videos on the menu I was sent to a page of the top gay films. This brought me a page of 18 thumbnails leading to 18 movies. There was a link titled niche and under it was gay. Hoping to find a category list I clicked this but only got the same page back again. So it looks like it is hit and miss time! At the bottom of the page I found a link to more gay scenes and, clicking this, I came to the first of 14 pages of thumbnails. Thats around 294 movies to choose from. Each of these movies has around four or five scenes within in it and these are the things you can watch.
Browsing through the titles it looks like you get a wide variety of content. There were several black guy movies, many with younger twinks and hunks and some that I would call older guys and studs. Titles were things like: Sharin the rent, My brothers lover and Dad knows best. Clicking on a title or a small screen shot that takes your fancy will lead to each movies full details page. Here you get the box shot, a description, list of stars, link to the gallery and viewing options. Dealing with the photos first, for a change, I found a set of thumbnails per scene. These opened into screen shots that were 720 x 480 in size. Nothing particularly stunning but a good way of viewing what the movie contains.
So, back to the movies and the viewing options. Each scene can be streamed on line in a dial up and a broadband version, simply make your choice and away you go. The on-line movie player (it doesnt open your own player so you cant browse while you wait for the buffer and stream) is the same size for both download and broadband though the quality of the latter is going to be the best of course. If you download the movie the technical details start at 320 x 240 @ 153 kbps. While the movie is running you can still view the details of the other scenes around it and there is a drop-down list of scenes so you can jump to another one quite easily. I viewed a broadband scene on my medium sized connection and it actually took quite a while for the movie to play. It was a twenty minute scene and, though it looked hot, I only got one still after another until the whole thing had buffered. Then I could stop and start again and things ran more smoothly. The dial up version happened almost immediately of course and, as the screen was the same size, (small) the quality wasnt too bad, though it still jumped and stopped until the full buffering was complete.
I have to say; at this point I was not overly impressed by this site. Ive seen so many others where you have much better viewing options. For example, if you can view on broadband you get a larger screen; others allow you to run the movie in external media players so you can browse while you wait and others have different download speeds, file formats and so on. I found the viewing experience here not to my liking. And it was difficult to find the kind of content I liked: no category list.
I gave up on the videos and went to the photos, again from that left menu. These were again screen shots from some of the movies with a new set of pictures for each day of the last week. The images, being screen shots, were small and not of great quality but they did show me scenes from some movies I might like to then go and watch.
Over on the Bonus Feeds page were nine feed sites that I could access as part of my membership. I have to say that these actually had easier to access and better quality videos than Id seen on the main site. On top of the page was a premium sites tab and I clicked that out of interest. This brought me to a page of around 30 straight sites (yikes!) and I was told that I couldnt access them because I was not subscribed. Well I knew that and was quite grateful. I went home again to see if I could find anything else to look at. The only other thing I had not tried clicking was the VOD access and this took me to a much better organised part of the site with category lists and everything but Id have to pay to view the movies.
So I may be wrong but I think, (think mind you) that this free part of the site acts as a kind of preview of the pay per view movie theatre. You can download and view scenes and there may be a membership fee involved. Sorry to sound vague but the site didnt make it clear. Maybe if I had allowed the pop ups on the tour I may have learned more? I thought I should check and so went to the public area of the site again only to find it had turned straight in my absence! I realised that the site is split into straight and gay areas so I clicked the gay tab and checked out the information; but it looked the same as the members area so no help there.
The confusion over what I was viewing (a preview site, one where I could download movies, a membership site if so how much?) was only one thing that put me off. The other thing was signing up for it. I was offered a free trial, as long as I entered my credit card details and that always worries me. Why do they want them? To check I am over 18 for sure but will they also use them later to bill me? I wasnt told. I searched the site to see how long this free access would last and how much I would be charged after this period, but I could find no information anywhere. In the end I contacted the support people and sent an e-mail to ask this question; not very potential-member friendly in my opinion.
But stop moaning man, surely there was something you liked about the site? Well actually no, not a lot. Maybe I have been spoiled as I have seen much better movie sites that had better category lists, easier navigation, better quality movies and viewing options and ones hat actually told me how much they cost and what was going on. O.k. so there are some titles here that you may not have heard of and you do get free access for how long I dont yet know. You dont get a list of niches, stars, studios and so on like you do on other sites so finding the kind of content you like is a question of browsing the screen shot thumbnails and guessing. There is a search engine where you can enter keywords and, if you strike lucky, you will get a list of all movies with that keyword in their description. And if you hit on a stars name in the video details page you do get a list of all the movies he is appearing in so that helps a bit. But my final moan has to be the tour promise that there are thousands upon thousands of movies to view. There arent there are 294 and even if they have five scenes each thats still only 1,470 scenes. Maybe there are thousands of straight ones in the other area but what self respecting gay boy wants to view those? (Seeing some real straight cock is nice though if you can block out the other bits.)
So I came away from this site feeling a bit fed up with it. That started with the non-information about cost and ended with the poor listings. I didnt know who many genres there were, the image galleries were only screen shots and the bonus content was easier to view than the main. It all seemed like a pretty poor quality way of advertising the sites pay per view theatre to me and Im sorry that I cant be more positive about it. But I have to be honest and that was my viewing experience.
