There is a huge range of gay DVDs to be viewed and downloaded at Nasty Boys. All of the titles are arranged into categories and the database is easy to search. You have over 700 hours of viewing here so the site is not short on content and, as well as the movies, you have image galleries too, so you do get value for money. Once inside the members area you can stream or download the content with up to four connection speeds and there are no restrictions on the amount you view or keep.
There are two main content areas inside Nasty Boys, the videos and the image galleries. You arrive at the main page, the movies list, and from there you can easily select which movie you are going to view first. You will see the category lists on the right and, when I was in the site, the largest collection of titles was under "Hunks" with 201 movies and then "Hairy Chests" with 153 to choose from. Other categories include: BDSM, bears, hardcore and Leather.
I checked out the Hunks section to see how the viewing and downloading worked and there found 15 titles per page. Each one has a front cover to give you a flavour of the action plus a short text description and some other basic information. There is not too much detail here and it would be useful to know the run time of the scenes, the production company and the names of the stars, but at least you can get to view the movies easily enough. Many of the titles have a High Definition version these days and you're told when this is the case. But all of them are available in at least three download speeds, or qualities if you like, so you should have no trouble viewing the films as long as you choose the appropriate connection speed. There is a 240 x 180 playing @ 56k for dial up connections, a 320 x 240 @ 300k version for DSL, and a 560 x 420 @ 700k for Broadband users. If there is an HD option then the figures are 720 x 480 playing @ 2MBps. So, you see, you shouldn't miss out on any of the titles.
I have to say I did find a few smoother, younger guys in the Hunks department and there was plenty of Latino and Ebony content in there too. The site really does carry a little bit of everything while at the same time leaning towards the rougher side of gay sex. By which I mean the hunks and leather men, the glory holes and bears as opposed to angelic looking young guys or shemales, trannies and so on. The movies come from some well known production companies such as Pistol Media and Gentlemen's Video so the quality of what you are buying into should not be an issue either.
As for the other content on the site, that's mainly down to the photo galleries. Here you'll find 13 categories of non-exclusive image galleries. Each one is presented in a standard way with thumbnail pages leading to decent sized enlargements, 790 x 1200. The shots I tested were fine, digital I assume and nice and clear. There are solo and action sets in the galleries and once again there are no restrictions on how many you can download and keep.
Although the site also lists Web Cams in the main menu, you will find that this links you over to a third party cam site that requires a further sign up. On my visit the link actually took me to a straight cam site which shows a certain lack of attention to detail on someone's part and, at the bottom of the pages, was a trailer for Flirt4Free.
Nasty Boys contains some good navigation features and search options that help you sift through the database. As well as the category lists for both photos and movies you have a list of performers - found on the right hand column menu. This brings up 11 names in alphabetical order and you simply click a name to get to all of that guy's performances. You will have to either know the name of your favored star or else take pot luck as there are no images on the list to guide.
Also in the right hand menu (as opposed to the top one) there are links to the help and support pages and here you will find all the information you need to ensure your video player is optimised; there are also your membership details and contact information over there so make sure you fully explore both the left and right columns when you enter the site. The main content stays in the central column and both top and right menus stay where they are which makes navigation simple. You can also search the site by keyword or search out stars by their name using the search boxes on the left.
If you can't decide what to view then you can take advantage of the featured movies which, I assume, change from time to time. These are listed in the side columns and you will also see the most popular DVD there too. I'm not sure how this is assessed as there are no voting or rating options that I could see, perhaps it is done automatically on the number of hits a scene or movie gets. By the way, when you click to view a scene you get a new window with the media player embedded in it so you don't lose your place on the site. This screen also lists other scenes that other members viewed after the one you are watching so the site is not short on suggestions of what you might like.
You should also make use of the Add to favourites function; simply click the right button (you will see them on the individual movie pages) and that title is added to your list. You can then view your list any time you want to remind yourself of what you liked in the past. There is also a Queue feature which does the same thing - when you're browsing and see something appealing add it to your queue, later you can go back and work your way down that list. This is handy to use particularly for me as I always think I will remember to come back to a scene later and then can never find it again - but that's just me. All in all, the site is well designed and easy to use so you should have no worries on that score.
Nasty Boys has a large collection of gay hard-core movies to view without restrictions. That's its main strength, but it also has some neat search and sort features, the Queue is a particularly good one, and it's easy to navigate. The movies are kind of standard fare but the quality is generally high and I had no complaints with that at all. The image galleries contain plenty of content and are also easy to navigate.
